What a week it was across college baseball. From midweek upsets to weekend madness, it was a truly chaotic week on the diamond. This week’s D1Baseball top 25 rankings have been shaken up as a result, from the top five all the way down to 25.

Over the weekend, some from Thursday through Friday, we saw five matchups between two ranked teams. They were No. 1 Texas vs. No. 8 Auburn, No. 3 Clemson vs. No. 17 Louisville, No. 19 Vanderbilt vs. No. 5 Georgia, No. 9 LSU vs. No. 15 Alabama, and No. 16 Oregon vs. No. 10 UCLA.

While ten ranked teams started their weekends 2-0 with a series win clinched, six started on the opposite end of things at 0-2 with a series loss. Eight teams entered their series finale in a rubber game, needing a win to clinch the series.

The postseason is inching closer and closer, and more changes are on the way to D1Baseball’s top 25 throughout the rest of the year. For now, though, here are this week’s rankings.

1. Texas

Previous Ranking: No. 1
Weekly Record: 4-0
Overall Record: 33-5 (16-2 in SEC)

There is no new No. 1 this week. Texas has claimed that spot and isn’t letting up, with a strong 4-0 week under their belts. After an 11-4 win on Tuesday against UTRGV, the Longhorns took on No. 8 Auburn over the weekend. Texas won 3-2 on Thursday in the series opener, and then 8-3 on Friday to clinch the series. They finished the sweep in loud fashion, earning a 14-2 run-rule victory.

2. Clemson

Previous Ranking: No. 3 (+1)
Weekly Record: 2-1
Overall Record: 35-7 (13-5 in ACC)

Clemson didn’t have any midweek action this week, but they were one of the weekend’s headlines with their home series vs. No. 17 Louisville. The Tigers took the series behind tight victories in the first two games, winning 7-6 on Thursday and 2-1 on Friday to clinch the weekend. Louisville took Saturday’s finale 8-6 in 12 innings, but it was still a great weekend for Clemson, who jumps up to No. 2 in D1Baseball’s top 25.

3. Oregon State

Previous Ranking: No. 6 (+3)
Weekly Record: 4-0
Overall Record: 30-7

Oregon State had a massive game to kick off the week, battling No. 10 UCLA on Tuesday. The Beavers came away with an impressive 7-1 win, and then had more success over the weekend at Cal State Northridge. Oregon State scored 44 runs across three games, winning 13-8, 16-11 and 15-12 on their way to a sweep.

4. Florida State

Previous Ranking: No. 7 (+3)
Weekly Record: 1-0
Overall Record: 29-7 (11-4 in ACC)

Florida State’s weekend series against Virginia was postponed, due to the tragic shooting on the FSU campus late last week. The Seminoles’ only game of the week came on Tuesday, a 19-0 victory over South Florida.

5. Arkansas

Previous Ranking: No. 2 (-3)
Weekly Record: 2-2
Overall Record: 34-7 (13-5 in SEC)

Arkansas is moving in the wrong direction for the second straight week in D1Baseball’s top 25 rankings. After dropping from the top spot, the Razorbacks beat Arkansas-Pine Bluff 13-3 on Tuesday before hosting Texas A&M over the weekend. There, Arkansas fell 7-4 on Thursday before winning 11-5 on Friday to force a rubber game on Saturday. There, Texas A&M came away with a 9-2 win to hand Arkansas another series loss.

6. Tennessee

Previous Ranking: No. 4 (-2)
Weekly Record:  2-2
Overall Record: 33-7 (12-6 in SEC)

After a 13-3 win against Bellarmine on Tuesday, Tennessee hosted Kentucky over the weekend in a home SEC series. After taking the opener 8-2 on Friday, the Vols lost 4-1 on Saturday to set up a decisive rubber game on Sunday. Aiming for the series win, Tennessee fell short in an 8-2 loss, dropping the series.

7. LSU

Previous Ranking: No. 9 (+2)
Weekly Record: 3-1
Overall Record: 34-7 (12-6 in SEC)

After a disappointing showing last weekend, LSU bounced back this week starting with a 10-3 midweek win vs. McNeese. The Tigers hosted No. 15 Alabama over the weekend, winning the opening two games 11-6 and 4-3 on Thursday and Friday to clinch the series victory. LSU fell short in a 7-4 loss in Saturday’s finale, but still walk out of the weekend with a series win and a rise in D1Baseball’s top 25.

8. North Carolina

Previous Ranking: No. 12 (+4)
Weekly Record: 3-1
Overall Record: 31-9 (13-8 in ACC)

After a 14-4 win against Charlotte on Tuesday, North Carolina battled Virginia Tech in a pretty big ACC series that turned into a crazy one. UNC won 9-6 in Friday’s opener on the road, but then lost 10-6 on Saturday. Saturday’s game featured multiple ejections, as tensions were high, as has been the case between these two teams in recent years. That set up an intriguing rubber game on Sunday, where UNC won 7-4.

9. Vanderbilt

Previous Ranking: No. 19 (+10)
Weekly Record: 4-0
Overall Record: 30-10 (11-7 in SEC)

A lot of surprising results came this weekend, but maybe none bigger than Vanderbilt sweeping No. 5 Georgia. After a 5-4, 10-inning win on Tuesday against Lipscomb, Vanderbilt hosted Georgia over the weekend, winning 3-1 on Thursday, 13-7 on Friday and 5-2 on Saturday to finish off the sweep. As a result, the Commodores have soared back up in D1Baseball’s top 25.

10. Georgia

Previous Ranking: No. 5 (-5)
Weekly Record: 1-3
Overall Record: 33-9 (10-8 in SEC)

Georgia’s week certainly started on a high and ended on a low. The Bulldogs beat rival No. 14 Georgia Tech 5-2 in a Tuesday midweek showdown, but couldn’t carry that success over into the weekend at No. 19 Vanderbilt. Instead, Vanderbilt came away with the sweep, winning 3-1 on Thursday, 13-7 on Friday and 5-2 on Saturday, stunning Georgia and sending them down in the D1Baseball top 25.
