Even though there were no series between ranked teams this weekend, it was still a wild week of college baseball. As a result, there are plenty of changes in this week’s D1Baseball Top 25 rankings.

The top ten sees some notable movement, as No. 4 North Carolina and No. 9 Virginia both lost their respective weekend series. That brings a new team into the top ten this week.

Some leagues, notably the ACC and Big Ten, got conference play underway this weekend. It wasn’t the start of full-time conference play, but quite a few teams across the country got their first taste of their leagues in the 2025 season.

With the season moving along swiftly, it’s time to see how D1Baseball’s Top 25 rankings shape up after the fourth weekend. We are poised for plenty more excitement this week as more and more conferences begin league play.

1. LSU

Previous Ranking: No. 1
Weekly Record: 5-0
Overall Record: 16-1

There will be no new No. 1 this week in D1Baseball’s top 25 rankings. LSU holds firm in that spot after replacing Texas A&M at the top a week ago. The Tigers picked up a pair of midweek victories over North Dakota State before battling North Alabama over the weekend. LSU won 13-2 on Friday, 6-2 on Saturday and 11-5 on Sunday on their way to another great week.

2. Tennessee

Previous Ranking: No. 2
Weekly Record: 5-0
Overall Record: 16-0

Tennessee just keeps dominating. After moving up to No. 2 in the rankings last week, the Vols kept rolling with a 22-9 win over Radford on Tuesday, a 13-1 win over Xavier on Wednesday, and a dominating sweep over St. Bonaventure over the weekend. Tennessee took the series with a 12-0 win on Friday and a 11-1 win on Saturday, and completed the sweep with a 13-2 win on Sunday.

3. Arkansas

Previous Ranking: No. 3
Weekly Record: 5-0
Overall Record: 15-1

Arkansas has looked extremely impressive to start the season, and they hold firm at No. 3 in the latest D1Baseball top 25. The Razorbacks outscored UL Monroe 29-4 in a pair of midweek wins to start the week, and then did much of the same against Portland. After winning 20-3 on Friday and 10-0 on Saturday, Arkansas won a tight 5-3 game on Sunday to finish another strong week.

4. Georgia

Previous Ranking: No. 5 (+1)
Weekly Record: 5-0
Overall Record: 18-1

To no surprise, Georgia continued its red-hot start to the season this week. It started with a pair of midweek victories, 8-4 over High Point and 16-10 over Georgia State. Then, the Bulldogs hosted Columbia over the weekend and kept rolling. Georgia won 14-5 on Friday and 16-6 on Saturday to clinch the series win, and 9-7 on Sunday to finish the sweep.

5. Florida State

Previous Ranking: No. 6 (+1)
Weekly Record: 4-0
Overall Record: 15-0

Florida State is one of the final undefeated teams left in college baseball, and they remain highly-ranked in D1Baseball’s latest top 25. The Seminoles had a pair of midweek victories, 10-1 over North Florida and 9-7 against Bethune-Cookman, before hosting Lipscomb for a three-game weekend series. FSU cruised through that, too, winning 10-1 on Friday and 11-5 on Saturday to take the series, and then Sunday’s finale was canceled.

6. North Carolina

Previous Ranking: No. 4 (-2)
Weekly Record: 2-2
Overall Record: 14-2

There was plenty of intrigue around UNC this week, hosting No. 24 Coastal Carolina on Tuesday and a strong Stanford team on the verge of leaping into the rankings over the weekend. UNC defeated the Chanticleers 5-4 in 11 innings on Tuesday, and then split the opening two games against the Cardinal with a 13-9 loss followed by an 11-1 win. On Sunday, UNC lost 7-0 to drop the series, ending the week on a disappointing note.

7. Florida

Previous Ranking: No. 7
Weekly Record: 4-1
Overall Record: 15-2

While Florida lost its Tuesday game at UCF 13-3, the Gators didn’t let that stop them from having a strong week. They responded with a 4-2 win against FAU on Wednesday, and then dominated Harvard over the weekend. Florida won the weekend by a combined score of 41-6, including an emphatic 22-6 victory in the series finale.

8. Oregon State

Overall Record: 10-3

After being off during the midweek slate, Oregon State got to work over the weekend against San Diego. Friday was all Beavers, winning 11-3 to open the series before taking the second game by a 2-0 score. Oregon State was aiming for a three-game series sweep on Sunday, and got just that with a 5-2 victory. The Beavers hold firm at No. 8 in D1Baseball’s top 25.

9. Oregon

Previous Ranking: No. 10 (+1)
Weekly Record: 4-0
Overall Record: 14-2

Oregon has been very impressive in the early parts of the season, and that didn’t stop in their first ever series in the Big Ten. The Ducks, after defeating Utah Tech in a midweek game on Tuesday, traveled to USC and took the series behind a 7-2 win on Friday and an 8-6 win on Saturday. Going for the sweep on Sunday, Oregon won 5-3 to finish it off.

10. Clemson

Previous Ranking: No. 11 (+1)
Weekly Record: 5-0
Overall Record: 15-1

Clemson’s week began with a pair of midweek games, beating USC Upstate 7-0 on Tuesday and Presbyterian 11-2 on Wednesday. The Tigers then hosted Davidson and kept rolling, winning 7-4 on Friday and 14-4 on Saturday to win the series. On Sunday, Clemson won 11-4 after having to come from behind, securing a sweep and a move up in the rankings.
