The college basketball season keeps moving along, and more upsets are primed to shake the AP Top 25 Poll to the core. As conference play gets more intense, rivalries and familiar foes are putting dents into each other’s seasons.

First, the biggest upset of the week came when Duke fell to Miami. While the Hurricanes have had a great start to the season, the Blue Devils didn’t expect them to come onto their court and leave victorious. Led players like Charlie Moore and Jordan Miller, that’s exactly what Miami did.

After being ranked No. 2 in the AP Poll, Duke is sure to trend downwards. However, they’re not the only top-five seed who will see movement in the ranking. Throughout the week, No. 3 Purdue struggled mightily.

To begin the week, the Boilermakers fell to No. 23 Wisconsin, 74-69. Then, unranked Penn State scared Purdue to it’s core — but the team was able to rally and find victory against the Nittany Lions.

Furthermore, it wasn’t a great week for some teams ranked in the middle of the AP Top 25 Poll. First, No. 13 Ohio State fell to Indiana on the road. Then, No. 14 Texas was defeated by Oklahoma State. Both teams were hoping to move up in the AP Poll, but it’s likely they’ll fall with their losses taking precedent.

The one constant throughout the season has been Baylor, as the Bears remained undefeated. While the world wonders who can catch Baylor, the AP Top 25 Poll following Week 9 has officially been released.
