ACC
Louisville DC Bryan Brown
The buzz: Louisville posted eight takeaways, all in the second half, during a 48-21 upset of QB Sam Hartman and then-No. 10 Wake Forest. The takeaways consisted of four fumble recoveries and four interceptions, including two pick-sixes. It was a season-low scoring output for the Demon Deacons, who entered averaging 41.4 points per game.

Illinois DC Ryan Walters
The buzz: Illinois held Nebraska to 248 yards and had four takeaways during a 26-9 victory. The Huskers, who were 2-of-12 on third down, came in averaging 29.7 points and 424.1 yards per game.

Kansas State OC Collin Klein/DC Joe Klanderman
The buzz: K-State was dominant on both sides of the ball during its 48-0 win over then-No. 9 Oklahoma State. Kansas State outgained Oklahoma State 495-217. It was the first shutout loss for Oklahoma State since 2009, and the Cowboys’ lowest yardage total since a 2014 loss to Texas, when they had 192.

Oregon OC Kenny Dillingham
The buzz: Oregon had six touchdowns during the final three quarters of a 42-24 win over California. The Ducks finished with 586 yards.

The buzz: Tennessee limited QB Will Levis and Kentucky to 205 yards during a 44-6 win over the No. 19 Wildcats. Levis finished with zero touchdowns, three interceptions and just 98 passing yards. Tennessee sacked him four times.

Missouri DC Blake Baker
The buzz: Missouri held South Carolina to 203 yards during a 23-10 win over the then-No. 25 Gamecocks. The Tigers had four sacks and two takeaways.

UCF DC Travis Williams
The buzz: UCF limited Cincinnati to 333 yards and its lowest scoring output of the year during a 25-21 win over the then-No. 20 Bearcats. The Knights recorded a safety, four sacks and seven additional quarterback hurries.
C-USA
North Texas OC Mike Bloesch
The buzz: North Texas racked up 541 yards during a 40-13 win over Western Kentucky. The 40 points were the most by a Hilltoppers opponent this season, and WKU had been allowing just 358.0 yards per game.
