On3’s coordinators of the week for each Power 5 conference for Week 4
Each week, On3’s Matt Zenitz selects coordinators of the week from each Power 5 conference as well as two from the Group of 5 ranks.
Here are the On3 coordinators of the week from Week 4.
ACC
Clemson OC Brandon Streeter
The buzz: Clemson had a breakout offensive performance during a 51-45 double-overtime win at Wake Forest. The Tigers’ yardage output (559) was their highest since November 2020. Meanwhile, QB D.J. Uiagalelei had as many TD passes Saturday (five) as he had in his previous seven games against Power 5 opponents combined. Before Saturday, Clemson had been limited to fewer than 380 yards in 11 of its past 13 games against Power 5 opponents. Streeter, who has coached the Tigers’ quarterbacks since 2015, was promoted to coordinator in December after Tony Elliott left for the Virginia coaching job.
Big Ten
Minnesota DC Joe Rossi
The buzz: For the fourth consecutive week, Rossi’s defense prevented an opponent from exceeding 10 points. In a 34-7 win over Michigan State, Minnesota had three takeaways and allowed just 240 yards. The defensive success contributed to Minnesota having a time of possession advantage of 42:30 to 17:30. The Golden Gophers enter Week 5 ranked second nationally in scoring defense (six points per game).
Big 12
Kansas State OC Collin Klein
The buzz: During Kansas State’s 41-34 upset of Oklahoma, the Wildcats accumulated their first 500-yard game against the Sooners since 2008 and just their second vs. OU since 2003. Kansas State finished with 509 yards and five touchdowns, including four on drives of at least 75 yards. Klein, a Heisman finalist as a quarterback at Kansas State in 2012, is in his first season as the Wildcats’ coordinator after five seasons as quarterback coach under Bill Snyder and now Chris Klieman.
Pac-12
USC DC Alex Grinch
The buzz: USC survived an upset scare from Oregon State despite an off game from its offense, largely thanks to Grinch and the Trojans’ defense. In the 17-14 victory, USC held the Beavers to 320 yards and recorded four interceptions, including one to seal the win with 35 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter.

Tennessee OC Alex Golesh
The buzz: Led by Golesh and its offense, Tennessee secured just its second win over Florida since 2004. In the 38-33 win, the Vols racked up 576 yards of total offense and had a stretch during which five of six drives ended with touchdowns.
Group of 5
Middle Tennessee OC Mitch Stewart
The buzz: Stewart’s offense was a catalyst for Middle Tennessee’s 45-31 upset of No. 25 Miami. The Blue Raiders finished with 507 yards and five offensive touchdowns, including three TDs of at least 69 yards.
Group of 5
Troy DC Shiel Wood
The buzz: Behind its defense, Troy beat a Marshall squad just two weeks removed from an upset of Notre Dame. In the 16-7 victory, Wood’s defense limited the Thundering Herd to 174 yards, including just 78 passing yards. Marshall’s only touchdown came after an interception that gave the Herd the ball at the Trojans’ 16.
