The Big Ten’s schedule of football games is coming into focus as its new media rights deal kicks in. Tuesday morning, The Action Network’s Brett McMurphy reported FOX and Peacock are beginning to finalize their schedules.

First, a Big 12 showdown — Oklahoma vs. Cincinnati — will be the noon ET game on FOX on Sept. 23, and Michigan at Nebraska will take that slot on Sept. 23. Ohio State at Purdue are now also on the FOX schedule as the “Big Noon” game on Oct. 14.

Peacock added six games to its schedule, starting with Michigan State at Iowa on Sept. 30. Rutgers at Wisconsin will be at noon ET the next week as part of a doubleheader with Ohio State vs. Maryland at 3:30 p.m. that day. Peacock will now air Big Ten games as part of the new media rights deal.

Sept. 23: Oklahoma at Cincinnati, Noon ET — FOX
Sept. 30: Michigan at Nebraska, Noon ET — FOX
Sept. 30: Michigan State at Iowa 3:30 p.m. ET — Peacock
Oct. 7: Rutgers at Wisconsin, Noon ET — Peacock

NBC and Peacock are two key parts of the Big Ten’s new multi-billion dollar media rights agreement which starts to kick in this year. FOX will remain one of the focal points, and CBS will start to join the fray. Next year, when the SEC moves exclusively to ESPN and ABC, CBS will have Big Ten games in the 3:30 p.m. ET window.

NBC previously announced three other games which will air exclusively on Peacock, starting with the Sept. 2 game between Michigan and East Carolina as part of NBC’s opening weekend of games. Penn State vs. Delaware will also be a Peacock exclusive on Sept. 10, as will the Sept. 16 game between Washington and Michigan State.

As part of the Big Ten media rights deal, NBC will have the primetime games. The new broadcast team of Noah Eagle, Todd Blackledge and Kathryn Tappen will be on the call, and a decorated pregame show will set the table. Maria Taylor will host B1G College Countdown and the panel of analysts consists of former Ohio State star Joshua Perry, former USC quarterback Matt Cassel and former Penn State star Michael Robinson. NBC Sports reporter Ahmed Fareed will serve as the show’s reporter.
