Each Sunday, On3 takes a look at some interesting stats you should know coming out of that week’s games. We’re a day late, but here are 11 stats from Week 12.

0: Oklahoma State shut out Texas Tech in a 23-0 win that improved the Cowboys to 10-1. Jim Knowles’ defense has held the Cowboys’ past four opponents to one total offensive touchdown. That touchdown came during fourth-quarter garbage time of a 63-17 rout of TCU.

3: Utah running back Tavion Thomas ran for three touchdowns during the Utes’ victory over Oregon. Thomas has run for 11 touchdowns in Utah’s past three games, a figure that ESPN Stats & Info says is the most in a three-game span from a Pac-12 player in the past 25 years.

4: North Texas beat FIU 49-7, giving the Mean Green its fourth win in a row after starting 1-6. It once was viewed in the coaching industry as a relative foregone conclusion that North Texas would fire coach Seth Littrell. This late-season run could maybe save his job.

13: Houston had its latest standout defensive performance during a 31-13 win over Memphis that improved the Cougars to 10-1. Under first-year coordinator Doug Belk, Houston has limited five of its past 10 opponents to 13 or fewer points after having no such games the previous three seasons (2018-20).

48: Clemson’s offense broke out for a season-high point total in a 48-27 win over Wake Forest. After being held to 21 or fewer points in their first six games against FBS opponents, the Tigers have scored at least 30 in each game during a current four-game winning streak.

79: Alabama WR Jameson Williams had a 79-yard touchdown catch during the Crimson Tide’s 42-35 win over Arkansas. It was the fourth 75-plus-yard reception of the season for Williams, who finished with eight catches, 190 yards and three touchdowns in the victory. Since 2012, only four Power 5 players have had four 75-plus-yard receptions in a season — Oklahoma State’s James Washington (2015), Baylor’s Chris Platt (2017), Louisville’s Tutu Atwell (2019) and Williams.

202: Pitt WR Jordan Addison had 14 catches for 202 yards and four touchdowns during the Panthers’ 48-38 win over Virginia. Addison is the first Pitt players to finish with 200 receiving yards in a game since Larry Fitzgerald in 2003. The four touchdown catches tied a school record.

228: Wisconsin true freshman RB Braelon Allen ran for 228 yards and three touchdowns during the Badgers’ 35-28 win over Nebraska. It was the seventh consecutive 100-yard game for Allen, tied for the third-longest such streak in school history.

470: Western Kentucky QB Bailey Zappe threw for 470 yards and six touchdowns during a 52-17 win over FAU. Zappe now has six games this season with at least 420 passing yards, tied with Patrick Mahomes and Case Keenum for the second-most in a season since 2007. The only player with more: Former Washington State QB Anthony Gordon had seven in 2019.

500: No. 4 Ohio State racked up 500 first-half yards during a 56-7 blowout of Michigan State that included a 49-0 halftime lead. In their past two first halves (during wins over Michigan State and Purdue), the Buckeyes have scored 94 points, rolled up 886 yards and averaged 10.2 yards per play. Of Ohio State’s 14 first-half drives the past two weeks, 13 have produced touchdowns.

559: Alabama QB Bryce Young threw for 559 yards and five touchdowns during the Tide’s win over Arkansas. The passing yardage broke the school record and ranks as the second-most in a game in SEC history; Mississippi State’s K.J. Costello threw for 623 in a victory over LSU in 2020.
