College Football odds: Point spreads released for every Week 3 game
Week 2 of college football provided surprise and intrigue as several teams proved the odds wrong on their way to upsets, or near upsets. Vegas Insider revealed the Las Vegas odds makers’ latest point spreads for every Week 3 game on the schedule.
After opening with an 18-point spread versus Texas, the Alabama Crimson Tide only narrowly escaped with a one-point win in Austin. The Texas A&M Aggies weren’t as lucky as the App State Mountaineers engineered a 17-14 upset after coming into the game at Kyle Field as 16.5-point underdogs.
The Notre Dame Fighting Irish also succumbed to double-digit underdogs. Marshall beat Marcus Freeman’s squad 26-21 in front of the Irish fans at home.
On top of those bad beats, Nebraska’s failure to win, or come close to covering a 21-point spread, versus Georgia Southern resulted in the firing of Scott Frost.
