College Football Player Rankings: Jeremiah Smith, Ryan Williams headline On3 Impact Top 10 WRs after Week 6
On3

In the latest college football player rankings, we have a fresh set of top 10 impact wide receivers across the sport following Week 6.

Now that we’re in the second quarter of the season, there are clearly 10 wide receivers above the rest. How they continue to impact their teams remains to be seen.

Let’s dive into the top 10 impact wide receivers in college football courtesy of our panel of On3 experts.

1. Jeremiah Smith, Ohio State

Nothing changes this week with Smith as he’s the top wide receiver in college football. He reeled in another touchdown against Iowa, aiding the Buckeyes to a 35-7 win.

Smith’s scored in every single game this year, which is impressive in of itself. Overall, he has 23 catches for 453 yards, six touchdowns and 19.7 yards per catch.

2. Ryan Williams, Alabama

The good news for Alabama is that they still have Williams for two more seasons after this one. The freshman phenom wide receiver comes in at No. 2 this week.

In the upset loss to Alabama, Williams was limited to three catches, but he had 82 yards and a touchdown. Overall, he has 19 catches for 544 yards, six touchdowns and 28.6 yards per catch.

3. Tre Harris, Ole Miss

Harris has put up absurd numbers this year, as we’ve previously alluded to. Being one of the best playmakers at wide receiver certainly helps Ole Miss.

The Rebels will need his best stuff against LSU in a key SEC tilt that could ultimately determine their playoff hopes. Harris has 52 catches for 885 yards, five touchdowns and 17 yards per catch.

4. Tetairoa McMillan, Arizona (+1)

McMillan moves up this week after another solid performance for the Wildcats. Although it came in a loss, he put up eight catches for 161 yards.

The Arizona wide receiver is one of the bright spots of this 3-2 squad. Overall, he has 37 catches for 664 yards, four touchdowns and 17.9 yards per catch.

5. Travis Hunter, Colorado (-1)

Hunter and Colorado had a week off so it’s easy to forget about this exciting wide receiver and playmaker. Just kidding, who could forget this kid?

As an overall player, as we’ve mentioned, he’s arguably the best. As a wide receiver, he’s still excellent, just not the top right now. He has 46 catches, 561 yards, six touchdowns and 12.2 yards per catch.

It was the Tigers’ first loss of the year, but Burden’s been productive. He turned it up in recent weeks but he might have to do a little more after that last game. The No. 6 wide receiver has 26 catches for 339 yards, four touchdowns and 13 yards per catch.

7. Emeka Egbuka, Ohio State

Like Burden, Egbuka didn’t move in the wide receiver rankings this week. He had an ever better game than his teammate Jeremiah Smith though!

In the win over Iowa, Egbuka reeled in nine catches for 71 yards and three touchdowns. Overall, he has 30 catches for 433 yards, five touchdowns and 14.4 yards per catch.

8. Tai Felton, Maryland

Felton didn’t move in the wide receiver rankings this week but he did have his lowest output of the season. In Maryland’s loss to Indiana, the Terrapins star did not score for the first time this season.

Felton had five catches for 38 yards. Overall, he has 46 catches for 642 yards, five touchdowns and 14 yards per catch.

9. Xavier Restrepo, Miami (+1)

Restrepo moved up a spot this week and actually had his biggest output of the season. Although, the Miami wide receiver was held scoreless for the second straight game.

Overall, Restrepo’s been one of the best in the game. He has 32 catches for 585 yards, five touchdowns and 18.3 yards per catch.

10. Tez Johnson, Oregon (-1)

Johnson had a big night against Michigan State, keeping the Ducks undefeated. The Oreogn wide receiver has 10 catches for 84 yards and one touchdown.

Overall, he’s been very productive outside of the game against Boise State. Johnson’s scored three touchdowns in the last two games and has 43 catches for 395 yards, five touchdowns and 9.2 yards a catch.

Another week in the books and with some teams coming off byes or going into a bye, we could see more movement next week. Onto the second half of the season for these wide receivers!
