1. Cam WardMiami

For the second straight week Miami quarterback Cam Ward leads the pack in On3’s quarterback rankings. Fresh off of his strongest performance of the season after throwing for 404 yards and three touchdowns in the Hurricanes’ 50-15 win at South Florida.

Ward joined the Hurricanes this offseason following two seasons at Incarnate Word and Washington State apiece. Looking cool, calm, and collected as one of the most experienced passers in college football who’s thrown for 1,439 yards and an FBS-leading 14 touchdowns this season.

2. Jaxson DartOle Miss

Like Miami, Ole Miss has not necessarily been tested so far this college football season. But their sheer dominance against opponents has been in large part thanks to quarterback Jaxson Dart, who’s helped lead the Rebels to outscoring their first four opponents 220-22.

Dart leads the country with 1,554 passing yards this season, also showing off his effectiveness as a scrambler with 90 yards on the ground and three rushing scores. Now set to face Kentucky this weekend in his biggest test of the season.

3. Carson BeckGeorgia

Carson Beck entered the college football season as the consensus top quarterback in the country. A title that seems a little bit more up for debate following the strong showings of several other quarterbacks across college football.

Beck has only played in three games this season with Georgia having a Week 4 bye, a stretch where he’s thrown for just 680 yards and seven touchdowns following two dominant wins and a close call against Kentucky in Week 3. But a dominant performance this weekend on the road against Alabama could surely help rebuild his case as the nation’s top passer.

4. Quinn EwersTexas

Quinn Ewers is another fascinating quarterback to rank given his current situation. The College Football 25 cover athlete who is now injured and missing time for his third straight season as the starter for the Texas Longhorns.

When healthy and available, Ewers is undeniably one of the best quarterbacks in college football. Which he showed in Week 2 after throwing for 246 yards and three touchdowns on the road in a win against Michigan before getting hurt in Week 3. Looking to return to the field soon while Arch Manning thrives under center for Texas.

5. Jalen MilroeAlabama

When it comes to dual-threat quarterbacks in college football, it doesn’t get much better than Alabama’s Jalen Milroe. Who in just three games has thrown for 590 and eight touchdowns while rushing for 156 yards and six touchdowns on the ground.

Like Beck, Milroe will face his tallest task of the season when he goes up against Georgia’s stout defense. A unit he was able to overcome and lead Alabama to a win over in last year’s SEC Championship game after throwing for 192 yards and two touchdowns.

6. Shedeur SandersColorado

Shedeur Sanders was arguably part of the most exciting moment of Week 4 after throwing a 43-yard Hail Marry touchdown to send Colorado into overtime against Baylor on Saturday. Throwing for 341 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Buffs to their first Big 12 win as new members of the conference.

Similar to last season, Sanders has been able to continue getting it done despite being one of the most pressured quarterbacks in college football. Throwing for 1,340 yards (fourth in the FBS) and 11 touchdowns while being sacked 15 times in four games.

7. Dillon GabrielOregon

During Oregon’s slow start to the season, not many fingers were being pointed at new quarterback Dillon Gabriel as the problem. Who so far this season has been extremely efficient and looked the part as college football’s most experienced quarterback.

Through three games Gabriel has completed an impressive 84% of his passes for 914 yards and six touchdown passes. As he’ll now look to lead the Ducks to their first Big Ten win as new members of the league this weekend versus UCLA.

8. Nico IamaleavaTennessee

This year is Nico Iamaleava’s first season as Tennessee’s starting quarterback. But he’s looked a lot more like an experienced returning starter versus a redshirt freshman with just a handful of games under his belt.

Iamaleava faced the toughest test of his career this weekend after leading the Vols to a 25-15 win on the road against Oklahoma. Bringing his season totals up to 892 yards and seven touchdowns for the young, talented signal caller.

9. Garrett Nussmeier, LSU

Garrett Nussmeier is another quarterback that’s serving as a full-time starter for the first time in his college career this season. Putting together four straight impressive performances for the Tigers this year as he follows the footsteps of Jayden Daniels.

Only six quarterbacks in the nation have attempted more passes than Nussmeier this season. Which he’s made the most of after throwing for 1,247 yards and 13 touchdowns through four games with only two interceptions on the year.

10. Will HowardOhio State

Ohio State quarterback Will Howard rounds out On3’s Top 10 as he leads one of the most talented offensive units in the country. Surrounded by a plethora of elite weapons from a two-headed monster at running back to a dynamic group of wide receivers.

In three games, Howard has thrown for 795 yards and six touchdowns as the Buckeyes have rolled over their non-conference opponents. Also rushing for two scores as it will be interesting to see if his legs become more a part of Chip Kelly‘s offense throughout the season.
