Lee Corso returned to ESPN College GameDay with a bang and revealed his College Football Playoff and national championship picks for the season.

As far as his top four go, he has two-time defending champion Georgia returning to the No. 1 spot. Michigan is his No. 2, so another familiar face in the final four.

But there are some newcomers to the No. 3 and 4 spots, according to Corso, including one heck of a national title pick.

Corso has the Bulldogs over the Longhorns in this first semifinal game. Texas finally makes it to the playoff but run into a freight train known as the Bulldogs.

Kirby Smart and crew are back in the national title game with a chance to three-peat. We wouldn’t want to get in their way and the SEC’s top team is back in the game this winter.

How about this game right here? Corso picked Michigan to get dropped in the semifinals once again, making it three straight years Jim Harbaugh and the Wolverines get bounced from the postseason before the national title game.

It’s Lincoln Riley’s time with USC. The head coach finally gets to the national championship game with a win over Michigan. You should probably thank Caleb Williams for that one.

And then the kicker. USC wins it all this year according to Corso. He’s seen it all in his time as an analyst on the pregame show and he’s going to see a blast from the past with USC winning it all.

Heck, he’ll definitely wear his Trojan costume once again if USC pulls this off. Not since the days of Reggie Bush and Matt Leinart has USC been at the top. But they’ll return there this season per Corso.

The Trojans certainly have the talent and it looks like the high powered offense led by last year’s Heisman Trophy winner will get it done in his, what looks like, final year of college football. Two powers and two newcomers, that sounds like a good playoff according to Corso.

Now, it’s time to see if the legendary analyst’s picks come to fruition this fall.
