College Football Predictions: ESPN picks winners of every Top 25 game in Week 12
The latest college football predictions from ESPN’s FPI are in, picking the winners of every top 25 game in Week 12.
There are six games that standout among the rest while the rest have interesting lines and predictions. Some of these games even have vast playoff implications.
Let’s dive into ESPN’s predictions, via their FPI, of all the games featuring top 25 teams in Week 12.
No. 1 Georgia vs. No. 18 Tennessee
Kickoff: 3:30 p.m. ET (CBS)
Spread: Georgia (-10)
FPI Prediction: Georgia – 69.3%
The Bulldogs beat up Ole Miss last week in the one game some thought could trip up Georgia’s three-peat attempt. Maybe Tennessee is that team? Or maybe not. Georgia is a double-digit favorite for a reason.
No. 5 Washington vs. No. 11 Oregon State
Kickoff: 7:30 p.m. ET (ABC)
Spread: Oregon State (-2.5)
FPI Prediction: Washington – 52.4%
Got a good one here. Now we’re talking. Washington is projected to win this based on ESPN’s FPI, but Oregon State is the betting favorite at home. If the Huskies lose here, the CFP won’t look too kindly on that.
No. 7 Texas vs. Iowa State
Kickoff: 8:00 p.m. ET (FOX)
Spread: Texas (-7.5)
FPI Prediction: Texas – 78.6%
No. 21 Kansas State vs. No. 25 Kansas
Kickoff: 7:00 p.m. ET (FS1)
Spread: Kansas State (-7.5)
FPI Prediction: Kansas State – 79.2%
The Sunflower Showdown is going to be a good one this season. Both teams are ranked and want positioning in a crowded Big 12 race with two games left. Kansas State has a better shot of course, but the Jayhawks shouldn’t be underestimated.
No. 22 Utah vs. No. 17 Arizona
Kickoff: 2:30 p.m. ET (Pac-12 Network)
Spread: Arizona (-1)
FPI Prediction: Utah – 57.1%
One of the best games of the weekend. Arizona jumped Utha in the latest playoff rankings but the Utes can make a statement in a season full of grit. But what Jeff Fisch has done with the Wildcats is amazing.
