Week 6 of college football is upon us, and there are several exciting matchups to look forward to as we near the season’s halfway point. FanDuel has already released point spreads for some of those games, giving fans an idea of just what to expect.

Week 5 didn’t bring too many surprises, as most of the favorites took care of business. However, this week features a few games between undefeated teams, so it wouldn’t be surprising to see a shake up in the rankings by the time it’s over.

Oklahoma and Texas lead the way as the Red River Rivalry is the site for ESPN’s College GameDay, while Kentucky will aim to be the first team to beat Georgia since 2021. You can view the point spreads for every Week 6 college football game below.

No. 12 Oklahoma vs. No. 3 Texas (-4.5)

The Red River Rivalry is one of the most anticipated college football games every year, but Week 6’s battle for the Golden Hat should carry even more hype. Both Oklahoma and Texas enter the game highly ranked and undefeated, meaning this could carry implications in the Big 12 title race.

The Longhorns snapped a four-game losing streak in the rivalry with a dominant 49-0 win last season, and that’s likely not something the Sooners have forgotten about. OU looks much-improved on both sides of the ball in the second season under Brent Venables, and actually enter this game fifth in the country in scoring defense. That should hopefully lead to a much more competitive game as they try to slow down Quinn Ewers and the high-powered Texas offense.

Maryland at No. 4 Ohio State (-18.5)

Details: Noon ET on Saturday, Oct. 7 on FOX
It wouldn’t be surprising to see a high-scoring affair in this one. The Buckeyes and Terrapins not only rank as the top two passing attacks in the Big Ten, but they’re also top three in the conference in scoring.

Maryland quarterback Taulia Tagovailoa has the experience as a third-year starter and currently leads the conference with 1,464 yards passing, 13 touchdowns and three interceptions. Kyle McCord is in his first year as a starter, but has two of the best receivers in the country in Marvin Harrison Jr. and Emeka Egbuka.

No. 23 LSU (-6.5) at No. 21 Missouri

Details: Noon ET on Saturday, Oct. 7 on ESPN
LSU entered the year as a potential College Football Playoff contender but now already has two losses heading into Week 6. It gave up two late touchdowns on Saturday and saw Jayden Daniels‘ final throw to the end zone fall incomplete as they fell 55-49 to Ole Miss in Oxford.

Now they run into a Missouri team that is off to its first 5-0 start in a decade. Mizzou has looked solid and knocked out then-No. 15 Kansas State in Week 3, but this could be its biggest test yet.

No. 13 Washington State at UCLA (-3)

College football Week 6
James Snook-USA TODAY Sports

Details: 3 p.m. ET on Saturday, Oct. 7 on Pac-12 Network
Washington State may not have gotten the preseason hype of USC, Oregon or Utah, but it’s shown early on why it deserves a spot among those Pac-12 title contenders. Cameron Ward ranks fifth in the Pac-12 with 1,390 yards passing, 13 touchdowns and no interceptions despite having played on four games.

UCLA suffered its first loss of the season 14-7 to Utah in Week 4 and both teams had a bye this past week. It was held to just nine yards rushing in that game despite averaging more than 200 per game on the season. Vegas likes the Bruins to rebound here at home, but this is a contest that could go either way.

Virginia Tech at No. 5 Florida State (-24.5)

David Yeazell-USA TODAY Sports

Details: 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday, Oct. 7 on ABC
Florida State has had a week of rest coming off of a 31-24 win against Clemson in Week 4. That was much-needed considering quarterback Jordan Travis had been battling injuries, and he should come back fresh and ready to continue his impressive start to the year.

Even through the injury issues, Travis managed 1,028 yards passing, 10 touchdowns and one interception in the first three games. The Seminoles look like a legitimate College Football Playoff contender, and should again have no trouble against a Virginia Tech team that has already lost three games.

No. 11 Alabama (-3.5) at Texas A&M

Mickey Welsh / USA TODAY NETWORK

Details: 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday, Oct. 7 on CBS
Games against Texas A&M have been anything but easy for Alabama the past two seasons. Jimbo Fisher became the first former Nick Saban assistant to beat his former boss in 2021 when the Aggies upset the No. 1 Crimson Tide by a score of 41-38. Last year Alabama escaped with a narrow 24-20 win in Tuscaloosa.

It seems that has been reflected in this year’s point spread as Alabama enters as just a 3.5-point favorite on the road. Both teams have taken care of business early in SEC play after suffering nonconference losses, and this should be a pivotal game for the SEC West standings.

No. 20 Kentucky at No. 1 Georgia (-14.5)

John David Mercer-USA TODAY Sports

Details: 7 p.m. ET on Saturday, Oct. 7 on ESPN
Kentucky and Georgia enter as one of three unbeaten teams in the SEC East. Although a Wildcats win here might have been unthinkable a few weeks ago, it’s a little less far-fetched after the Bulldogs’ performance from last week.

Georgia struggled on the road against Auburn, even trailing in the third quarter, on its way to a 27-20 win. Meanwhile, Kentucky rolled to a 33-14 win victory against Florida behind a monster day from Ray Davis (280 yards rushing, 3 touchdowns). It’s still a longshot, as indicated by the Bulldogs being two-touchdown favorites, but a Georgia win isn’t a given like once thought.

No. 10 Notre Dame (-7) at No. 25 Louisville

Jim Dedmon-USA TODAY Sports

Details: 7:30 p.m. ET on Saturday, Oct. 7 on ABC
Notre Dame rebounded from a heartbreaking Week 4 loss to Ohio State to notch a 21-14 road win against No. 17 Duke on Saturday. Now the Fighting Irish turn their attention to another ranked ACC team that has yet to lose a game in the early going.

Louisville used a strong defensive performance, including an interception with 1:33 remaining, to escape NC State by a score of 13-10 in Week 5. The Cardinals have gotten to this point on the backs of several transfers, including quarterback Jack Plummer and receiver Jamari Thrash, in what couldn’t be a better start to their first season under Jeff Brohm.

Arkansas at No. 16 Ole Miss (-11.5)

Petre Thomas-USA TODAY Sports

Details: 7:30 p.m. ET on Saturday, Oct. 7 on SEC Network
Ole Miss needed a win coming off its first loss of the season to Alabama and got it thanks to some last-second heroics against LSU. Jaxson Dart found Tre Harris for a go-ahead 13-yard touchdown with 39 seconds remaining and the defense held strong on the ensuing possession to secure a 55-49 victory.

Now the Rebels face an Arkansas team in the midst of a three-game losing streak and desperate for its first SEC win. The Razorbacks got Raheim Sanders back from injury this past week, but it’ll be difficult to keep up with this Ole Miss offense, especially on the road in Oxford.

Arizona at No. 9 USC (-21.5)

Rob Schumacher/The Republic / USA TODAY NETWORK

Details: 10:30 p.m. ET on Saturday, Oct. 7 on ESPN
USC has had a couple of close calls on the road the past two weeks but returns to LA Memorial Coliseum to take on the Wildcats. This represents an opportunity for the Trojans to send a statement after some shaky defensive play early on.

Although USC ranks first in the country with 53.6 points per game, it is 102nd in yards allowed per game (404.4). It’s also not forcing turnovers at nearly the rate it did last year. The Trojans need a convincing win here, as they’ve fallen four spots in the AP poll over the past two weeks.
