College GameDay makes bowl game picks, predicts Heisman winner

The College GameDay crew is on site for Saturday’s matchup between Army and Navy. As the GameDay crew does every week, they have submitted picks for some upcoming games. With just one game on Saturday’s slate, the GameDay crew made picks for some of the upcoming bowl game, in addition to picking a Heisman winner.

College GameDay’s picks for some of the pre-Christmas bowl games

UAB vs. BYU (Independence Bowl): “I’m going BYU with that defense and that running game,” Herbstreit said. “Give me BYU.”

Utah State vs. Oregon State (LA Bowl): “Oregon State covers the seven,” Corso said.

Louisiana vs. Marshall (New Orleans Bowl): “The Ragin’ Cajuns started the season losing to Texas,” Howard said. “Since then, they’ve won 12 straight. Make it 13 straight, go Ragin’ Cajuns.”

UTSA vs. San Diego State (Frisco Bowl): “I like San Diego State’s defense,” Howard said. “They have 11 wins, make it 12 wins for San Diego State.”

Army vs. Missouri (Armed Forces Bowl): “I say anybody but Army,” Corso said. “I don’t care who they play. Upset!”

UCF vs. Florida (Gasparilla Bowl): “I’m going Florida here,” Herbstreit said. “I think Florida, they’ve got a new coach in Billy Napier. He’s not going to be coaching but he’s going to be watching them practice and trying to create a new vibe, a new energy. These players are going to be showing off trying to show who they can be. I think that momentum will get the Gators a win.”

Heisman Trophy: “I don’t know what the widest margin for a winner is,” Herbstreit said. “I think it’ll be one of those types. Bryce Young because of the last two games. We were waiting and waiting and waiting for somebody to emerge. I think Bryce Young wins it.”
