Four-star shooting guard Isaiah Coleman, a College of Charleston signee, has requested to be released from his National Letter of Intent, he told On3.

The 6-foot-5, 180-pound senior committed to the Cougars in September before signing during the early period in November. Coleman, who plays at Word of God (N.C.), ultimately chose College of Charleston over Mississippi State. He also received offers from Auburn, Miami, Maryland, Georgetown, Xavier, and others.

Coleman, a native of Fredericksburg, Va., is ranked as the No. 95 overall prospect in the On3 Industry Rankings — the average ranking from all four major recruiting media companies (ESPN, 247Sports, Rivals, On3). He also checks in as the country’s No. 19 shooting guard and the No. 3 player in North Carolina.

Scouting Report

“Isaiah Coleman has a good frame, good athleticism, good length, and has no real skill weaknesses on the floor. He can handle as a secondary ball handler, shoot as a scoring guard, and pass to get his team into sets. There are some decision making questions with the ball in his hands. There is also upside with Coleman on the defensive end. He has good length, toughness, and athleticism. How well does he see the floor? Coleman has a lot of positive traits, including confidence.” – On3’s Jamie Shaw

Coleman On3 NIL Valuation

Isaiah Coleman currently holds a $10,700 On3 NIL Valuation.

The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets the standard market NIL value for high school and college athletes. A proprietary algorithm, the On3 NIL Valuation calculates an athlete’s NIL value using dynamic data points targeting three primary categories: performance, influence and exposure.

About On3 NIL Valuation, Brand Value, Roster Value

While the algorithm includes deal data, it does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals athletes have completed to date, nor does it set an athlete’s NIL valuation for their entire career.

The On3 NIL Valuation accounts for an athlete’s roster value and brand value. Roster value is the value an athlete has by being a member of his or her team at his or her school, which factors into the role of NIL collectives. Brand value factors in an athlete’s personal brand and the value it could bring to regional and national brands outside of the scope of NIL collectives.
