Tennessee was the final team to get in with a 5-0 victory over Southern Miss. Stanford also punched its ticket Monday, capping off a wild final day in the Super Regional Round.
With eight teams left in this NCAA baseball season, there’s a clear favorite, but plenty of teams have a chance. There’s also some longshots.

More on the final eight teams in NCAA Baseball
Wake Forest, the tournament’s No. 1 overall seed, earned their spot in the CWS with an undefeated mark through five games. It has been all offense for the Demon Deacons as they’ve bludgeoned their opponents by winning their five contests by 59 runs combined. They lead the way as one of five national seeds that survived the Regional and Super Regional stages.

So with Demon Deacons as the favorite, the second best team, according to the odds at least, is an interesting team to watch.
LSU has a lot of Omaha experience, thanks to head coach Jay Johnson.
“I think for tonight they have to enjoy this tonight,” Johnson said after Sunday’s 8-3 win over the Kentucky Wildcats. “Like tomorrow morning I’ll be guns blazing: Who are we playing; what day are we playing; what time; practices lined up at Creighton and all those types of things. I think you want them to enjoy getting to the College World Series. I mean, outside of Cooper and Bryce and Christian Little, none of these guys have been there. They need to enjoy this.”
Florida and Virginia could certainly make runs of their own, but the Gators and Cavaliers take on each other in the second bracket. Big underdog Oral Roberts plays TCU in that same bracket with all of that action getting underway Friday.
Tennessee, which was the final team to get in, comes in hot. But the Volunteers have to take on the previously mentioned LSU Tigers.
The two are quite familiar with each other due to their SEC clashes. They’re grouped with Wake Forest and Stanford.
That first bracket gets underway Saturday afternoon with the Demon Deacons and Cardinal.
