InterMat College Wrestling Individual Rankings updated after Week 3
The latest college wrestling individual rankings are in the books after Week 3 of action from InterMat. There were some intriguing results ahead of Tuesday night’s All-Star Classic.
While that’s an exhibition, those matches are definitely telling based on the results. More on that later. We’ve already seen a major weight class change as well.
Without further ado, we’ll dive into InterMat’s latest college wrestling individual rankings.
125 pounds
1. Anthony Noto – Lock Haven (1)
2. Richie Figueroa – Arizona State (2)
3. Jakob Camacho – NC State (3)

7. Michael DeAugustino – Michigan (8)
8. Kysen Terunkina – Iowa State (17)

Noto stayed at No. 1 for this year as the only movement in the top five came from Peterson after his win over Eddie Ventresca. Others received a bump as Terunkina entered the fray with a big jump. He’s 3-0 on the season. These rankings were also published prior to the NWCA All-Star Classic where Ramos defeated Noto in the exhibition.

No changes across the board here. Henson is doing one heck of a job right now though, as he’s 12-0 on the young season. Lamer and Voinvich are thriving in their new spots, going 6-0 and 6-1, respectively.

7. Cade DeVos – South Dakota State (8)
8. Justin McCoy – Virginia (9)
9. Donnell Washington – Indiana (10)
10. Nick Incontrera – UPenn (14)
The biggest news here is Cornell’s Chris Foca moving up to 184 pounds after an early season decision (more on that in a second). With that, everyone bumps up a spot while Incontrera moves into the top 10. Starrocci dominated Lewis in the All-Star Classic Tuesday night.
184 pounds
1. Parker Keckeisen – Northern Iowa (1)
2. Bernie Truax – Penn State (2)
3. Trey Munoz – Oregon State (3)
4. Chris Foca – Cornell (2 – 174)

7. Isaiah Salazar – Minnesota (6)
8. Lenny Pinto – Nebraska (8)
9. Gavin Hoffman – Ohio State (10)
10. Gavin Kane – North Carolina (11)
Foca gets into the rankings up a weight, already placed in the top four. That’s huge considering he was an NCAA finalist at 174 last year. Keckeisen beat Truax at the All-Star Classic Tuesday night. Kane also moves into the top 10 with a 3-1 record.
197 pounds
1. Aaron Brooks – Penn State (1)

7. John Poznanski – Rutgers (8)
8. Luke Surber – Oklahoma State (9)
9. Jaxon Smith – Maryland (10)
10. Michael Beard – Lehigh (11)
The top six did not have movement. By the way, Brooks was dominant over Sloan in the All-Star Classic, so we are really unsure if anyone’s going to beat him at this point. Poznanski, Surber, Smith and Beard all moved up one spot.
285 pounds
1. Greg Kerkvliet – Penn State (1)
2. Wyatt Hendrickson – Air Force (2)
3. Lucas Davison – Michigan (3)
4. Cohlton Schultz – Arizona State (4)
5. Zach Elam – Missouri (5)

7. Yonger Bastida – Iowa State (7)
8. Luke Luffman – Illinois (8)
9. Tyrell Gordon – Northern Iowa (9)
10. Grady Griess – Navy (10)
No movement across the board here. Want a big result? Look at Kerkvliet’s match against Hendrickson in Tuesday night’s All-Star Classic. Right now, he’s the big man on campus until Gable Steveson comes back, if he does.
