College wrestling rankings: InterMat updates all 10 weight classes after conference championships

The later InterMat rankings are in following the conference championships and boy did we have some changes! Tickets have been punched to NCAAs with massive results.
We have some new No. 1 wrestlers in a couple of weight classes following some stunners. Upsets were aplenty and we can’t wait for the NCAA Tournament.
The final tournament of the year begins March 20th. So before that, let’s dive into the latest rankings.
125 lbs.
1. Matt Ramos, Purdue
2. Eddie Ventresca, Virginia Tech (+2)

6. Vince Robinson, NC State (-1)
7. Troy Spratley, Oklahoma State (-4)
8. Caleb Smith, Nebraska (-1)
9. Sheldon Seymour, Lehigh
10. Stevo Poulin, Northern Colorado (-4)
Ramos remained the No. 1 guy despite losing to Lilledahl in the Big Ten semis. But the latter made a jump winning the Big Ten. Figueroa was knocked off at Big 12s and Strickenberger made a massive jump as well.

Byrd beat Ayala for the Big Ten title so he’s your new No. 1 and firmly cemented his status as one of the favorites to win the national title. McGonagle made gains this weekend, as did Bouzakis, who broke through again at Big Tens.

9. CJ Composto, UPenn
10. Jacob Frost, Iowa State (+1)
Bartlett, and Mendez for that matter, were knocked off in the semifinals but had their 5th meeting for third, won by the Nittany Lion. Hardy is your Big Ten champ, making a serious statement. Alirez failed to win Big 12s and fell a few spots.

9. Kannon Webster, Illinois (+7)
10. Dylan D’Emilio, Ohio State (-3)
Henson is still undefeated and the top dog at this weight. Lovett is back on top in the Big Ten, beating Parco along the way. Webster was a finalist and jumped into the top 10.
157 lbs.

9. Rafael Hipolito, Virginia Tech (+1)
10. Ryder Downey, Northern Iowa (-4)
Kasak remained the No. 1 here with a Big Ten title and Shapiro looked dominant during the Ivy League tournament. Maybe a collision course at the NCAA finals. Cannon really impressed as a freshman and made his way into the top three!

Mesenbrink couldn’t blow out Caliendo this time as it was a one takedown match in terms of the margin. Hall moved up, as did Ramirez, following their conference tournaments. Mantanona impressed and Garvin is back in the top 10. How about Steed? Jumping way up following Big 12s?
174 lbs.
1. Keegan O’Toole, Missouri
2. Levi Haines, Penn State
3. Dean Hamiti, Oklahoma State
4. Lenny Pinto, Nebraska (+5)
5. Garrett Thompson, Ohio
6. Carson Kharchla, Ohio State (-2)
7. Patrick Kennedy, Iowa (+3)
8. Brevin Cassella, Binghamton (+7)
9. Lorenzo Norman, Stanford (-4)
10. Simon Ruiz, Cornell (+1)
O’Toole beat Hamiti in the Big 12 finals in an instant classic. Haines dominated his way through the Big Ten bracket but Pinto showed out. Cassella has been under the radar this year, but the EIWA champ looks pretty darn good.
184 lbs.

1. Carter Starocci, Penn State
2. Parker Keckeisen, Northern Iowa
3. Max McEnelly, Minnesota (+1)
4. Dustin Plott, Oklahoma State (-1)
5. Chris Foca, Cornell (+1)
6. Bennett Berge, South Dakota State (-1)
7. Edmond Ruth, Illinois (+5)
8. Jaxon Smith, Maryland (+3)
9. Gabe Arnold, Iowa (-1)
10. Silas Allred, Nebraska (-3)
Starocci and Keckeisen are still undefeated, but McEnelly pushed the four-time champ to the brink at Big Tens. Plott just can’t get past Keckeisen. Ruth and Smith had great Big Ten Tournaments to get back into the top 10. Foca won a thrilling Ivy League final over Penn’s Maximus Hale.
197 lbs.
1. Jacob Cardenas, Michigan (+2)
2. Stephen Buchanan, Iowa (-1)
3. Josh Barr, Penn State (-1)
4. AJ Ferrari, CSU Bakersfield
5. Michael Beard, Lehigh
6. Mac Stout, Pittsburgh (+4)
7. Wyatt Voelker, Northern Iowa (+5)
8. Luke Surber, Oklahoma State (-2)
9. Stephen Little, Arkansas-Little Rock (-2)
10. Trey Munoz, Oregon State (-1)
Cardenas is the new No. 1 after winning Big Tens over Buchanan. He also avenged his loss to Barr in the semifinals and could very well be the No. 1 seed at NCAAs. It’ll be a fascinating exercise as Ferrari won the Pac-12 and is still undefeated, beating Little in the finals.
285 lbs.
1. Gable Steveson, Minnesota
2. Greg Kerkvliet, Penn State
3. Wyatt Hendrickson, Oklahoma State
4. Owen Trephan, Lehigh (+1)
5. Cohlton Schultz, Arizona State (+1)
6. Isaac Trumble, NC State (-2)
7. Ben Kueter, Iowa (+4)
8. Josh Heindselman, Michigan
9. Nick Feldman, Ohio State
10. Yaraslau Slavikouski, Rutgers (-3)
Steveson dominated again and beat Kerkvliet 10-3 in the finals. It wasn’t even that close, which is insane. Hendrickson and Trephan are still unbeaten as well. Kueter moved into the top 10 with a third place finish and Slavikouski remained top 10 despite medically forfeiting out of Big Tens after a quarterfinal loss to Heindselman.
