College wrestling rankings: InterMat updates all 10 weight classes after Week 4
With the 2024-25 NCAA Wrestling a month old, InterMat released their updated individual rankings following Week 4 of the season.
The dual season is already getting spicy and there are some old and new faces making their mark! As usual, InterMat ranks No. 1 through 33 in all 10 weight classes.
We’ll dive into the top 10 at each weight, while listing the full rankings below.
125 lbs.
1. Richie Figueroa, Arizona State
2. Caleb Smith, Nebraska (+1)
3. Matt Ramos, Purdue (+1)
4. Tanner Jordan, South Dakota State (+1)
5. Troy Spratley, Oklahoma State (+1)
6. Stevo Poulin, Northern Colorado (+1)
7. Jore Volk, Wyoming (-5)
8. Nico Provo, Stanford
9. Greg Diakomihalis, Cornell
10. Brendan McCrone, Ohio State
Figueroa is still at the top despite an injury here. His status is TBD. Volk lost to Spratley and dropped a bit while others rose up the ranks. Provo still has yet to make his season debut in 2024-25.

3. Nasir Bailey, Little Rock-Arkansas (-1)

The top four stayed the same this week but Shawver moved up a spot to No. 5. He’s still undefeated on the season. Frost moves back with a loss, Knox is 5-0 and now in the top 10 and Ayala had a solid bump this week.

The top six didn’t shift following the fourth week of the season. Titus and Jamison are now in the top 10 as they are 4-0 and 7-0, respectively. NC State’s Kai Orine is 8-2, but fell back a few spots out of the top 10.

No changes this week. Henson looks awesome and so does Van Ness. The top five are all undefeated, but there might be a clear top two in this weight class coming from Virginia Tech and Penn State.

Teemer’s injury could be cause for concern as the grad transfer might be out for a bit. Shapiro is still injured but the top two remain intact. Taylor’s been on a tear and Kasak reestablished himself for Penn State at a new weight. Otherwise, there was no shifting in the rankings.

The top five remained the same this week but how about Sasso? He’s now 3-0 in his return to the mat and looks like a new man. Gaitan moved up while Amine took a dip as he’s 2-2 on the season.

Wolak is the only one in the top five with a loss but they all stayed in the same spot. Incontrera has gotten better every season and moved up a spot. Pinto dropped with a toss and everyone else shifted up.

The top eight stayed the same this week as McEnelly moved up a spot, as well as Hawks. He makes his top 10 debut after Illinois Edmond Ruth dropped to No. 12 with a 5-3 record. Foca has yet to make his season debut.

Not much here as the top nine remained the same. Elam has yet to wrestle though. Buchanan looks like a man possessed right now as well. Geog is 7-1 and now into the top 10 of the rankings.

The top nine remained the same as last week. Steveson is 2-0 with two tech falls, including one over Ghadiali, in his return to the mat. Trephan is back in the rankings now that he’s at Lehigh. He wrestled unattached and went 7-0 in the first few weeks for NC State, but was able to change locations as a grad transfer. His former teammate Trumble is now 6-1 on the year.
