College wrestling rankings: InterMat updates all 10 weight classes after Week 6
With the 2024-25 NCAA Wrestling ongoing, InterMat released their updated individual rankings following Week 6 of the season.
The dual season is already great but there were some big changes this week after the CKLV Tournament. In one of the big in-season competitions, the rankings got a shakeup.
We’ll dive into the top 10 at each weight, while listing the full rankings below.
125 lbs.
1. Matt Ramos, Purdue (+2)
2. Richie Figueroa, Arizona State (-1)
3. Troy Spratley, Oklahoma State (+1)
4. Eddie Ventresca, Virginia Tech (+7)
5. Caleb Smith, Nebraska (-3)
6. Brendan McCrone, Ohio State (+4)
7. Jore Volk, Wyoming
8. Vincent Robinson, NC State (+4)
9. Cooper Flynn, Minnesota (+4)
10. Stevo Poulin, Northern Colorado (-5)
We have a new No. 1! Ramos is now 14-0 on the season fresh off a CKLV title and takes over for Figueroa, who’s still on the shelf. Ventresca skyrocketed back up and is now 10-1 on the season.

The top three remained the same, but how about Romney? He’s 9-1 on the year and jumped up eight spots this week. Bouzakis seems to be back to form as he’s 13-2 this year. Shawver dropped after his first loss of the season to Lock Haven’s Anthony Noto.

Jamison had an impressive weekend at CKLV and is now 10-1 this year. Schwartz is starting to turn heads with a 3-0 record and moved up into the top 10. The top three are still in a class of their own right now.

The top six didn’t shift this week but Abas moved up four spots. He’s now 10-4 on the year. He caused everyone else to move down. Whalen is 9-0 but did not wrestle Sunday against Rutgers.

Not too much movement here as Teemer and Shapiro are still banged up. Downey is now 12-1 and putting on a show. Miller and Blaze had huge weekends and moved up into the top 10 of the rankings.

The top five remained the same in this weight class. Amine moved up three spots and is starting to turn it back up. Wilson had the biggest weekend, is now 9-3 and top seven in the country.
