Colorado vs. USC odds: Early point spread released on Buffaloes, Trojans
Four weeks into the college football season, the story has been Deion Sanders. A huge jolt of energy has been pumped into the Colorado program, putting it on the national stage. Maybe the Buffaloes came crashing back to reality with Saturday’s loss to Oregon but another huge opponent is next on the schedule — the USC Trojans.
Unfortunately for Coach Prime, the oddsmakers are once again against his team. According to Fan Duel, USC is a 27.5-point favorite against Colorado. Of course, the national stage will be in Boulder, with Big Noon Saturday having their pregame show and broadcast crew being in town.
Colorado is coming off a game where Oregon smacked them around pretty well. Dan Lanning maybe pulled an Uno Reverse card on Sanders, making the game personal for him. The Ducks made quite the statement and were able to secure a blowout win. It’s the first deal of adversity the Buffaloes are facing this season.
Travis Hunter is still unlikely to be on the field, being a huge missing piece for the team on both sides of the ball.
As for USC, they made a trip down to the desert and took down Arizona State. Reigning Heisman Trophy winner Caleb Williams continues to be a special player, showcasing why he is in the midst of a back-to-back campaign at the moment. His eyes will be wide open against Colorado, even if kickoff is scheduled for 9 a.m. PST.

Colorado, USC meeting for final time before conference split
Following Saturday, the next time we see Colorado and USC on a football field, it will be as nonconference opponents. Not that they shared the Pac-12 for too long but conference realignment is tearing them apart beginning in 2024.
Colorado is off to the Big 12, hoping to be the premier program of the conference. No matter how the rest of the season plays out, Sanders will be riding into the next chapter with a ton of momentum. Maybe he will even be looking to compete for a Big 12 Championship in Year One.
As for USC, they are joining the Big Ten — being the original mover out of the Pac-12 alongside crosstown rival UCLA. The Trojans surely have some unfinished business in the Pac-12, wanting to win the conference they have been a member of since 1922.
But the Big Ten is the future with a ton of other West Coast schools.
