Colorado DL Rayyan Buell plans to enter his name into the NCAA Transfer Portal.

CBS Sports’ Matt Zenitz first reported Buell’s intent to enter the portal on Thursday per his representation at FanClubSportsNIL.

Buell spent one season with the Buffaloes after two seasons prior at Ohio, as well as a pair at Northwest Mississippi Community College. In total, Buell has appeared in 40-plus games for the three programs with most of those being with the Bobcats and Rangers.

Buell has posted 42 tackles, 6.5 sacks, and a deflection over his five-year collegiate career. 30 of the tackles and 4.5 sacks came during a career-best season last year at Ohio. However, after transferring to Colorado, he followed that with only three tackles in just a few appearances for the Buffs.

During the past portal cycle last offseason, Buell was the No. 15 DL and 229 overall transfer. That was per On3’s 2024 Top Transfer Portal Players. That made him one of the top additions for the Buffaloes out of the 42 transfers in total that joined them.

Buell, a native of Hornell, New York, was a member of the 2019 recruiting class.
