5-star WR Cederian Morgan schedules Colorado official visit

Alexander City (Ala.) Benjamin Russell five-star wide receiver Cederian Morgan named his top six schools and locked in most of his official visit dates earlier this month. Colorado made the cut, but was the lone program to not immediately lock in an OV with the elite pass-catcher.
That date has now been set, as Morgan will make his way up to Boulder for an official with Deion Sanders and Co. from May 9-11, he tells On3’s Hayes Fawcett.
It will the first of six OVs, preceding trips to Georgia (May 16-18), Clemson (May 30-June 1), Florida (June 6-8), Auburn (June 13-15) and Alabama (June 19-22).
Morgan is the No. 17 overall prospect and No. 3 WR in the 2026 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 2 player in Alabama.
Entering the spring, in-state Alabama and Auburn have been considered the frontrunners for Morgan. Auburn recruiting insider Cole Pinkston logged a pick in the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine in favor of the Tigers last August.
The 6-foot-4, 210-pounder is set to take his visits and continue to work through his process, though. The Buffaloes have made waves on the recruiting trail each cycle since Sanders arrived in Boulder and will look to do the dame in Morgan’s recruitment later this year.

When speaking with On3’s Chad Simmons last fall, Morgan maintained that he wasn’t going to rush his process. That remains the case heading into the spring.
“I don’t care if I stay in state or go out of state. I am going to take my time, sort things out and see where I need to be. Communication is really big for me. Playing for coaches that can help me get to the next level is big too,” Morgan said. “I will keep talking to schools, take my official visits next year and find the school I need to be at.”
As a junior for Benjamin Russell High, Morgan hauled in 70 passes for 1,162 yards and 14 scores. He’s also a standout in track and field, hitting 6’4 in the high jump as a sophomore.
Colorado is yet to land a 2026 commitment. The Buffs inked the nation’s No. 35 class last cycle, according to the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings.
