Colorado-UCF kickoff time delayed due to weather

Colorado and UCF won’t kickoff at 3:30 p.m. ET as the game was delayed due to inclement weather, according to the UCF fan experience.
With lightning in the area, the pregame will resume following a 30 minute period where there is no lightning within eight miles of the stadium. Both Colorado and UCF will have to be provided an opportunity to warm up.
At this point, the game will kickoff no earlier than 4:05 p.m. ET. Matt Baker of the Tampa Bay Times later reported 4:20 p.m. ET would be the estimated kickoff time.
Colorado and UCF are coming off big wins in their last outings. The Buffaloes miraculously beat Baylor 38-31 in overtime following a Hail Mary from Shedeur Sanders to tie the game.
UCF meanwhile, beat TCU 35-34 on the road, prior to a bye week, to remain undefeated at 3-0. Colorado (3-1) will try and hand the Knights their first loss and win their second straight Big 12 game.

With Colorado and UCF on the temporary shelf, there are questions if the Buffaloes can sustain their success.
Paul Finebaum won’t go as far as saying Colorado can win the Big 12 following the win over Baylor last weekend.

In fact, the ESPN commentator called it “fiction” during Wednesday’s segment on Get Up. Yes, Deion Sanders and company are 3-1 and thrilled college football fans with a Hail Mary and an overtime win.
But that’s about as good as it gets for Colorado in 2024.
“I would say fiction, Greeny,” Finebaum said on Get Up. “Everyone loved what we saw. It was arguably the play of the year, it wasn’t really even arguable, but they’re still not there. Their offensive line still cannot protect (Shedeur) Sanders and that’s really the problem. And that’s what will be their undoing before this season is over.”
That protection? Colorado’s offensive line surrendered eight sacks to the Baylor defense. Shedeur Sanders has been sacked 16 times in four games this year, an average of four per game.
Sure, the most recent game was a bit more of an outlier for Colorado, but it’s still an alarming stat. The Buffaloes only averaged 68.8 rushing yards per game, which puts the onus on the passing game.
