Colorado vs. Nebraska: Offensive player projections for Week 2
Saturday night, Colorado and Nebraska will renew their rivalry. The matchup features two high-profile quarterbacks, and the offensive player projections have been set, according to PrizePicks.
Shedeur Sanders and Dylan Raiola will square off after two impressive performances in Week 1. Sanders, of course, is looking to become a top pick in the NFL Draft while Raiola will be playing in just his second career game after arriving as a highly touted recruit.
For Sanders, it’ll be his second time going up against Nebraska. He had a huge game last season, throwing for 393 yards and two touchdowns to lead Colorado to the rivalry victory. He’ll look to put together a repeat performance Saturday night, especially after a huge 2024 season opener against North Dakota State.
Raiola, meanwhile, shined in his collegiate debut against UTEP. He threw for 238 yards and two touchdowns while completing 19 of 27 passes. That set the stage for a primetime game against Colorado as he takes the big stage on Saturday.

Dylan Raiola made his presence known in his collegiate debut against UTEP, turning in multiple highlight-reel plays. Travis Hunter, WR, Colorado
Receiving Yards: 88.5
Travis Hunter was one of the biggest stars of Week 1. In addition to three tackles on defense, he had 132 receiving yards and three touchdowns at wide receiver – including a crazy catch on his final touchdown reception to help seal the victory.
Isaiah Neyor, WR, Nebraska
Receiving Yards: 57.5
Receptions: 4.0
After transferring from Texas, Isaiah Neyor emerged as Dylan Raiola’s top target in Week 1 with six receptions for 121 yards and a touchdown. His projection for Week 2 against Colorado is set at 57.5 receiving yards, according to PrizePicks.
Jimmy Horn Jr., WR, Colorado
Receiving Yards: 72.5
Receptions: 5.5
Jimmy Horn Jr. had the biggest game for Colorado in last week’s opener, totaling a team-high 198 yards and a touchdown. He’s sure to be a key target for Shedeur Sanders once again, and his projections for Week 2 are set at 72.5 receiving yards and 5.5 receptions, per PrizePicks.
Jahmal Banks, WR, Nebraska
Receiving Yards: 52.5
Receptions: 4.0
A transfer from Wake Forest, Jahmal Banks is looking to cement his place in Nebraska’s passing game this season. Last week against UTEP, he finished behind Isaiah Neyor in receiving yards, hauling in four recpetions for 61 yards and a touchdown in the victory.
LaJohntay Wester, WR, Colorado
Receiving Yards: 59.5
Receptions: 5.5
Nebraska’s third-leading receiver last week, LaJohntay Wester looked good in his first game after transferring from Florida Atlantic. He had five receptions for 58 yards, which is similar to his projected 59.5 receiving yards and 5.5 receptions for the Nebraska game, per PrizePicks.

Emmett Johnson, RB, Nebraska
Rush Yards: 40.5

Will Sheppard, WR, Colorado
Receiving Yards: 40.5
Another notable transfer receiver, Will Sheppard was fairly quiet last week against North Dakota State, totaling two receptions for 23 yards. However, a bounce-back could be in the cards against Nebraska, and PrizePicks sets his projection at 40.5 receiving yards for Saturday’s game.
Rahmir Johnson, RB, Nebraska
Rush Yards: 38.5
A sixth-year senior, Rahmir Johnson took the bulk of Nebraska’s carries last week, rushing for 50 yards on his 11 attempts. He was the only Cornhuskers running back to top the 10-carry mark, and PrizePicks set his projection at 38.5 rush yards for Saturday’s game between Nebraska and Colorado.
Dallan Hayden, RB, Colorado
Rush Yards: 27.5
Dallan Hayden was quiet in the opener as Colorado went with an aerial attack. He totaled 20 yards on the ground in his first game after transferring from Ohio State, and the Buffaloes totaled 59 as a group in the win over North Dakota State.
Dante Dowdell, RB, Nebraska
Rush Yards: 36.5
Another key piece of the Nebraska backfield, Dante Dowdell was one of two Cornhuskers running backs to reach the end zone against UTEP. He also totaled 55 yards, which sat just behind Emmett Johnson for the most on the roster in the opener.
Thomas Fidone, TE, Nebraska
Receiving Yards: 25.5
Although he totaled just three receptions against UTEP, Thomas Fidone only had one receiving yard. Still, he could have a role in the offense for Dylan Raiola as he goes through his freshman season.
Janiran Bonner, WR, Nebraska
Receiving Yards: 23.5
After spending the 2023 season as a fullback, Janiran Bonner is transitioning to wide receiver this season. His first game went well as he hauled in three receptions for 26 yards, and PrizePicks projects him to have similar numbers with a projection of 23.5 receiving yards vs. Colorado.
