Coach Sherrone Moore provided a brief injury update on Loveland and two others after the game.

“We’ll see. We’ll just, you know, that’s why we have doctors,” Moore said. “So we’ll see what the doctors say. I think Colston left and then Myles (Hinton) just cramped up and then same thing with Rayshaun (Benny), so we’ll just see what the doctors say for further eval.”

Loveland was escorted into the Wolverines’ locker room by athletic training staff in the second half against Arkansas State on Saturday.

By the end of the third quarter, he had been ruled out of the game, per the Big Ten Network broadcast. He came out of the locker room in a T-shirt, but the on-air report was unable to specify any specific injury.

Loveland appeared to favor his left arm during the first half. An update was provided on the Big Ten Network broadcast at the time, saying that he was “good to go,” but less than five minutes more into the game he was taken to the back to the locker room after being tackled on a reception.

He finished the game with three receptions for 30 yards. He has 19 receptions for 187 yards and a touchdown so far on the young season.

The exact injury or timetable for his recovery is unknown as of this report, and it’s likely more tests will be done in the coming days to discover the extent of his ailment.

As it stands, the Michigan offense leaned heavily on the ground game. Quarterback Davis Warren threw for just 122 yards and had three interceptions before being lifted.

But the Wolverines got the job done by rushing for 301 yards and three touchdowns. Kalel Mullings led the charge with 15 carries for 153 yards and two touchdowns.
