Colts defensive tackle Tyquan Lewis carted off against Titans
Indianapolis Colts defensive tackle Tyquan Lewis was injured during an interception return Sunday against Tennessee and carted off the field. Lewis fumbled the ball during the return, which the Titans recovered.
The entire Colts bench walked out to offer well wishes to Lewis before he was taken to receive medical attention. The Colts held a 17-14 lead entering halftime.
A former Ohio State Buckeye, Lewis was taken in the second round of the 2018 NFL draft. He finished last season with a career-high four sacks. So far this year, he had 1.5 sacks to go along with four quarterback hits. The interception was his first of the season.
The Titans currently sit at 5-2 and first place in the AFC South. Although Indianapolis is behind them in second place, they have a lot of catching up to do at just 3-4.
Prior to his exit Sunday, Lewis had already recorded one sack, two quarterback hits and one pass defended in addition to the interception.
