Connor Stalions delivers passionate pregame speech ahead of Michigan-Texas
Connor Stalions was able to deliver a passionate pregame speech ahead of Michigan–Texas when he was a guest on the Barstool College Football Show.
Of course, Stalions is no longer on the Michigan staff and is instead coaching high school football. But that didn’t stop his return to Ann Arbor Saturday with the Longhorns coming to town.
When asked how the game would go, Stalions was the typical Michigan man.
“So my attorney lives in Texas,” Stalions said. “I was born in Texas. I am a Dallas Mavericks fan, a Dallas Stars fan, but I have two very smart parents who moved back to Michigan. Graduates from the University of Michigan class of 1994 and we still have Sherrone Moore. We still have Will Johnson, Mason Graham, Kenneth Grant and so on. Run the damn ball. Go Blue.”

Stalions ended it with a fist raised in the air and received all cheers from the Michigan faithful in attendance.
Stalions, of course, spent time on Jim Harbaugh’s staff at Michigan before the sign-stealing scandal came to light. He was also the subject of a Netflix documentary on the investigation, for which the Wolverines received a Notice of Allegations in late August.

Athletic Director Warde Manuel recently addressed his approach to NCAA investigations while also sharing his ferocity and desire to fight back when it’s right.
“Well, first of all, we’re going to fight when we need to fight, but also we’re going to — where we have made mistakes, we’re going to admit them and deal with it,” Manuel said. “And so, I don’t want people to think because we don’t talk about it publicly, and I can’t, that we’re not going to fight for what we think is right for the University of Michigan and for the people that are here. We are.”
One thing’s for sure, Michigan beats Texas on Saturday, guys like Stalions will be dancing into next week. Stalions might have to fix a handful of things on the high school gridiron, but his Michigan support still runs deep.
Should the Wolverines upset Texas, it might be time to start thinking about the Maize and Blue making another playoff run.
