Cooper Flagg is coming to Peach Jam straight off a gold medal in the u17 World Championships. The 15-year-old Flagg led the USA team in rebounds, blocks, and steals for the event.
“I’m a versatile big that can guard one through five, and I’m also a three-level scorer,” Flagg told On3. “I wanted to prove that I can go against anyone in the country. I just went out and represented the country. It went great. I got a lot of minutes and was able to help the team win a gold medal.”
Flagg told On3’s Joe Tipton at the Team USA u17 training camp that he grew up a fan of Duke. And Duke is one of his offers, along with Michigan, UCLA, West Virginia, Iowa, Albany, and Bryant.
“With Duke, there are new players every year,” Flagg said. “But I think I really started getting into them with Jayson Tatum, Grayson Allen, and those players.”

Cooper Flagg continued, “I always say I like to model my game after Jayson Tatum. And Grayson Allen too, with how hard he plays, and the grit he plays with.”
This summer, Maine’s reigning Gatorade Player of the Year transferred to Montverde (FL) Academy.
“It’s a place that is going to push me,” Flagg said. “They pride themselves on winning, hard-working, and they have a good coach.”
