Cordarrelle Patterson has made NFL history, running back the ninth touchdown of his pro football career. He was previously tied with Josh Cribbs and Leon Washington at eight.

The 31-year old Falcons running back looked a decade younger on the run, impressively outrunning the entire Chicago Bears kick return unit before speeding his way into the end zone. The 10-year vet out of Tennessee will now be known as the most prolific kickoff returner in NFL history.

Devin Hester remains the NFL’s all-time special teams touchdowns record holder (19), though the former Bears star had 14 of them on punt returns.

Still, the kick return touchdown didn’t close the entire deficit the Bears had piled on the Falcons Sunday, but Atlanta was able to tie the game at halftime. Catch the remainder of the game live on FOX or NFL+.

Vikings receiver Justin Jefferson to play vs Cowboys

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson will play Sunday against the Cowboys, NFL insider Dov Kleiman reports. The former LSU star has been dealing with a bout of turf toe over the past week.

That’s good news for the Vikings, because Jefferson is coming off a historic performance against the Buffalo Bills. Not only did he haul in 10 catches for 193 receiving yards (career-high) and one touchdown, but he also hauled in what many are regarding one of the best catches in NFL history

The gloves and arm sleeve he wore during the performance are now in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

The Vikings would go on to win in a 33-30 classic in overtime and Minnesota currently sit at 8-1 overall and they’re in first place in the NFC North heading into Sunday’s match against the 6-3 Cowboys.
