Cormani McClain

Five-star cornerback Cormani McClain of Lakeland (Fla.) Lake Gibson narrowed his list to five schools Thursday – Florida, Miami, Florida State, Ohio State and Alabama.

McClain ranks as the No. 5 player overall in the On3 2023 player rankings.

Of the five final schools, Cormani McClain visited only two – Florida and Florida State. McClain also visited Orlando, Fla., to check out UCF, as well as a visit west to BYU, but neither of those schools made his top five.

The 6-foot-2, 180-pound cornerback is also ranked as the No. 1 2023 prospect in Florida.

Only quarterback Arch Manning of New Orleans Isidore Newman, quarterback Malachi Nelson of Los Alamitos (Calif.) High, athlete Sonny Styles of Pickerington (Ohio) Pickerington Central and defensive lineman James Smith of Montgomery (Ala.) Carver are ahead of Cormani McClain in the national rankings.
