Coveted 2024 QB Luke Moga sets commitment date
Sunnyslope (Ariz.) three-star quarterback Luke Moga started the new year with a handful of Division I offers and interest from a few more programs.
Later this month, he’ll announces his commitment after picking up double-digit offers in the past few months, he told On3.
The 6-foot-2, 190-pound rising senior will make his decision public April 28 at Sunnyslope High School at 2:45pm MST. Between now and then, he isn’t narrowing down his list of offers or naming any favorites.
This spring, he’s been at Arizona State, Arizona, Oregon, Miami (twice), Oregon State, BYU, and TCU. After those trips and developing strong relationships with schools like Michigan State, he feels like the time is right to make the call.
“I just feel it,” he said. “Me and my family have talked about and we feel great about it. My family has gotten to know the coaches, I feel good around them and I see it as a great fit. I see a great future there. It is not just me, but we like it as a family. I am ready to commit and I want to help build a great recruiting class.”
Moga is the No. 573 overall prospect and No. 31 quarterback in the 2024 class, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
On3, however, is higher on him than other recruiting services. In the most On300 rankings, he was slotted as the country’s No. 20 quarterback and the No. 8 recruit in Arizona.

Connections at multiple programs stand out to Luke Moga
Earlier this spring, Moga broke down a few of the programs pursuing him the most and what stood out about them.
BYU: “They have a good system that makes it really quarterback-friendly. They always have a great offensive line and good, big receivers to throw downfield (to), so I think that’s something to look out for there.”
Arizona State: “We’ve [me and Coach Dillingham] built a really strong connection. I’m texting with him all the time. What he’s done at the different schools and with Jordan Travis, he wants to win and he wants to do it centered around the quarterback, so it’s obviously a really strong appeal to me.”
Oregon: “I just like those people there. Obviously, the resources and facilities there are the best in the country. I like how down-to-earth the staff is and I’ll definitely be back soon, I think.”
Miami: “The culture of the Miami football program and the resources, obviously being a great academic school. That’s one of the places I’ve seen… that puts you in a position to be set up for life after football.”
