Georgetown guard Curtis Williams entered the NCAA transfer portal, On3’s Pete Nakos has learned. He began his career at Louisville before joining the Hoyas.

Williams appeared in 33 games at Georgetown this year, including three starts. He averaged 4.7 points and 1.8 rebounds per game as a sophomore, and he will have two years of eligibility remaining.

Williams previously spent one season at Louisville, where he played in 32 games as a freshman. He put up 5.3 points per game in that span, which included four starts.

The On3 Transfer Portal Instagram account and Twitter account are excellent resources to stay up to date with the latest moves.

Curtis Williams played high school basketball at Bloomfield Hills (Mich.) Brother Rice, where he was a four-star prospect. He was the No. 93 overall player from the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Williams is the fifth Georgetown player to enter the portal since the window opened following the Round of 32. One of those departures, center Drew Fielder, has since committed to Boise State while the rest are looking for new homes.

Fielder initially committed to USC out of the portal, but de-committed from the Trojans. Instead, he signed with the Broncos on Wednesday, On3’s Joe Tipton reported.

Over past two seasons at Georgetown, Fielder averaged 6.1 points and 4.2 rebounds per game. That includes 7.1 points and 5.4 rebounds per game this past season as a sophomore as the Hoyas’ starting center.

The Hoyas have been active in the portal so far this cycle, though. Four players are on their way to Washington, D.C. next season. The headliner of the group is former Arizona guard KJ Lewis – the No. 58 overall player in the On3 Industry Transfer Rankings.

Georgetown went 18-16 this past season, including an 8-12 mark in Big East play before falling to DePaul in the conference tournament. The Hoyas still played in the postseason, though, as part of the inaugural field for the College Basketball Crown. Their season came to an end in the second round with a loss to Nebraska, which went on to win the tournament.
