Hodgenville (Ky.) Lexington Christian Academy four-star quarterback Cutter Boley announced his top 10 schools on May 12. Three days later, he set a commitment date for May 18.

Now, Boley is cutting down his list even more. The 6-foot-5, 200-pound recruit will decide between Florida State, Kentucky, Michigan, Penn State and Tennessee.

“It’s really where my heart’s at,” Boley told On3. “I’ve been to all of them a good amount of times. I think I know where my heart’s at. Everything fits right, everything seems right.”

Boley has visited each of his finalists this spring. They include trips to Florida State (April 6), Michigan (March 26), Kentucky (March 23 and March 11), Tennessee (March 21) and Penn State (March 18).

Overall, Boley has visited Kentucky between six and eight times, Tennessee between five and six times, Michigan four times, Penn State three times and Florida State twice.

The Wildcats are also hosting Boley for an official visit on the weekend of June 10. KSR reported in April that the NCAA approved Boley’s trip to Kentucky because he has enough academic credits to be considered a junior in high school.

Boley is the No. 40 overall prospect and No. 3 quarterback in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 1 player in Kentucky.

On3 rates Boley higher than other recruiting services, according to the Industry Comparison. Per the 2025 On300, he is the No. 30 overall prospect in the country.

Boley breaks down his top five schools

Florida State: “I feel like Florida State is on the come-up right now. They’re doing really well recruiting. Next year is going to be a big year for them. I feel like Jordan Travis has a chance to win the Heisman. I think they have a chance to make the College Football Playoff if they do what they can do this year.”

Kentucky: “I like that Liam (Coen) is coming back and how they had the offense going with him two years ago. Them being in-state, growing up in Kentucky, it would definitely be cool to play for Kentucky.”

Michigan: “Coach (Jim) Harbaugh, he knows what it takes to get quarterbacks to the league. They’re always going to compete for a national championship every single year. The tradition they have, the fanbase, the stadium, it’s all crazy up there.”

Penn State: “I feel like I could really fit in that offense very well, a pro-style offense. Their tradition, their stadium, all that stuff is really crazy. I really like coach (Mike) Yurcich and coach (Danny)O’Brien. I also like coach (James) Franklin and he can really lead a team. They’re going to compete for national championships every year.”

Tennessee: “Tennessee’s been recruiting me from the very beginning. They’ve been recruiting me really hard and that’s a place that’s going to score a lot of points, they’re going to put up big numbers. I’m really close to the coaching staff over there.”
