The Texas Longhorns continued to hold down the No. 1 spot in the D1Baseball college baseball top 25 poll, as the Longhorns came away with wins over two ranked SEC programs in Tennessee and LSU. The rest of the top 25, however, looks much different than it did in last week’s rankings.
Three new teams found their way into the top 25 rankings, as Tulane, Clemson and Gonzaga crept into the poll and replaced Miami, Sacramento State and Long Beach State. Meanwhile, further up the poll, Vanderbilt and Stanford — previously ranked No. 5 and No. 6, respectively — moved up to No. 4 and No. 5, bumping Oklahoma State down to No. 6.
Rounding out the top 25, there are several more SEC teams creeping up in the rankings — while LSU managed to fall from No. 7 to No. 12 after a tough week, Tennessee and Florida moved to No. 11 and No. 12, respectively, after Tennessee picked up wins over Texas and Baylor, while Florida took two of three from Miami.
Oregon State, Florida State and Notre Dame round out the top 10 this week, sitting at Nos. 7, 8 and 9, respectively, and a couple more ACC teams leapt up the standings: Georgia Tech moved from No. 18 to No. 13, and North Carolina went from No. 24 to No. 15.
