It’s Monday, which means D1Baseball has released updated top 25 rankings. The third weekend of college baseball was a fun one, with ranked matchups and upsets throughout.

Of course, weather also played a role throughout the weekend. Some series saw games canceled or postponed, while others were forced into doubleheaders or lengthy delays.

Weather aside, though, it was a great weekend, and week, of college baseball. The top ten in last week’s D1Baseball’s top 25 did well, as it continues to be tough to break into the group at the top of the country. Regardless, there is plenty of movement throughout the rankings heading into the new week.

Here is a full look at how D1Baseball’s top 25 shapes up following the third weekend of the season.

Wake Forest lost their midweek battle last week, but they didn’t let that happen again. Defeating North Carolina A&T 12-1, the Demon Deacons stayed hot entering the weekend, where they defeated Binghamton twice before shutting out Elon to secure a weekend sweep.

LSU started off the week at Rice, and won the midweek contest 16-4. That was just the beginning of what turned into a great weekend for the Tigers. LSU beat No. 15 Texas 6-3 on Friday, and then picked up another strong win over Louisiana on Saturday, winning 5-4. On Sunday, LSU finished off the weekend sweep by beating Texas State 10-3.

4. Florida

After getting back on track last week, Florida stumbled a bit with a pair of losses this week. The Gators fell on Tuesday against Stetson, but responded with a victory over Bethune-Cookman on Wednesday. Facing Miami over the weekend in an intriguing in-state battle, Florida was able to take Friday and Sunday’s games, winning the series. But while Saturday’s loss gave the Gators two on the week, they did not fall in D1Baseball’s top 25 rankings.

5. TCU

Overall Record: 12-0

TCU has had to battle it out in a bunch of tight games this year, but they just keep winning. Tuesday’s game against Washington State took 12 innings, but the Horned Frogs won 8-7. They then beat Arizona 6-1 on Wednesday. Over the weekend, TCU beat Arizona State on Saturday, and also won two games against Arizona State, one on Friday and one on Sunday, remaining undefeated on the year.

Vanderbilt then beat Louisiana 7-4 on Friday, Houston 3-1 on Saturday, and No. 15 Texas 14-11 on Sunday. And the doubters might have been silenced in the process.
