D1Baseball releases updated top 25 rankings

This past week was another upset-filled one in college baseball, with multiple teams ranked in last week’s D1Baseball top 25 rankings splitting or losing over the weekend. Following all of this past week’s action, D1Baseball has released updated top 25 rankings, with a familiar face on top.
Tennessee remained perfect on the week, going 4-0 and improving to a mind-boggling 31-1 overall record. Miami also rose up to No. 2 from No. 8 after going 5-0 and sweeping Virginia over the weekend. Oregon State went 4-0 and rose to third in the rankings, while Texas Tech and Oklahoma State each picked up three wins and round out the top five.
After going 1-3, Virginia fell from third to eighth in the D1Baseball top 25. Louisville went 2-1 and Notre Dame went a perfect 4-0, rounding out the top 10. Southern Miss also went 4-0 and finished just on the outside of the top 10 at No. 11. Texas State and Ariziona (previously No. 10 and No. 11) each went 1-3 on the week, and fell to No. 19 and No. 20, respectively. Ole Miss went 0-4 on the week, falling from No. 9 to No. 25.

Five teams fall out of the new rankings
Five new teams entered this week’s D1Baseball top 25. Auburn is the highest ranked new team at No. 17 after going 3-1, while Virginia Tech (No. 21), Stanford (No. 22), and Florida (No. 23) also went 3-1 on the week. Alabama went 4-0, joining the top 25 at No. 24.
With five new teams in the D1Baseball top 25, five teams fell out of last week’s top 25. Vanderbilt (previously No. 16) fell out of the rankings after going 2-2, falling to 22-9 on the year. Florida State (previously No. 20) also went 2-2, falling to 18-13 overall. NC State (prev. No. 21) went 1-2 on the week, falling to 19-11. North Carolina (previously No. 22) went 1-3 to fall to 21-11. TCU (previously No. 23) also went 2-2, reaching 21-11 on the year.
