Weather took a strong hold of the weekend across college baseball, impacting nearly every series on the eastern portion of the country. With a lot of doubleheaders and shuffled schedules, the weekend delivered some major upsets that have resulted in changes in the latest D1Baseball top 25 rankings.

The best series of the weekend was undoubtedly between No. 1 LSU and No. 6 South Carolina. At home, the Gamecocks stormed away with the first game and led for a while during the second before the Tigers came back to even the series. The final game of the weekend was unable to be fit in due to rain, and the series ended in a 1-1 split. South Carolina also picked up an impressive midweek victory over No. 13 North Carolina.

Two top ten teams dropped their respective weekend series. No. 9 Boston College went 1-3 on the week, and dropped all three games at No. 18 Louisville over the weekend. No. 10 Kentucky won the first game of the weekend at Georgia, but dropped both ends of Sunday’s doubleheader to lose the weekend. No. 11 Tennessee also fell, dropping two out of three at home against No. 3 Florida.

No. 16 Oklahoma State had an all-around disappointing week, starting with a midweek loss against Wichita State. The Cowboys then lost two out of three at TCU over the weekend. No. 20 Miami was on the road to No. 7 Virginia over the weekend, and the Hurricanes were unable to steal away a game. Virginia cruised to the three-game series sweep.
