There was a lot of exciting college baseball played over the weekend, and upsets again showed up in big spots. After all of the weekend’s results, D1Baseball has updated its top 25 rankings with changes to the top ten.

Four ranked teams lost their respective weekends, beginning with No. 16 Florida State. The Seminoles won against USF during midweek action, and then hosted Florida Gulf Coast over the weekend. Florida Gulf Coast took the first two games of the weekend, winning 10-8 on Friday and 11-10 on Saturday. Florida State was able to salvage the weekend with a 14-8 win on Sunday, but the overall result was a disappointing one.

No. 18 Maryland also had a disappointing week after beating Delaware during the midweek. The Terrapins did not win a single game during the Cambria College Classic in Minneapolis, losing 5-1 to Ole Miss, 8-7 against Vanderbilt, and 9-3 against Hawaii.

No. 22 Miami began the week with a midweek loss against Florida Atlantic, falling 6-5. The Hurricanes then battled against No. 6 Florida over the weekend. Florida took the first game 10-4 before Miami evened the series with a 14-6 win on Saturday. In Sunday’s rubber match, it was the Gators that jumped out early and came away with a 14-4 win to take the series.

No. 24 Texas Tech also lost the weekend after defeating Air Force twice during midweek action. Rice defeated Texas Tech 3-2 on Friday to begin the Shriners Children’s College Classic in Houston, but the Red Raiders responded with a 10-7 win over Michigan on Saturday. Texas Tech was engaged in a tight matchup against No. 15 Texas A&M on Sunday night, and the Aggies ultimately won 4-2 in 16 innings.
