"I came here to win," Dailyn Swain talks Xavier
Dailyn Swain’s versatility as a player makes him unique. Listed at 6-foot-8, he affects the game, across the board, on both sides of the floor.
This versatility is also what made him such a coveted recruit in the 2023 class. The four-star had close to 15 offers when he eventually chose to play for Sean Miller and the Xavier Musketeers in September.
On3 caught up with Dailyn Swain at this week’s Flyin’ to the Hoop Invitational to talk about Xavier and his decision.

What was Xavier’s pitch to you and what made them stand out?

What do you expect your role to be as a freshman?
Swain: “Really, just coming in and doing whatever it takes to get on the floor and hlep the team win. If that is as a guard or at the three, whatever it takes.
What are you most extied about when you step foot on campus?
Swain: “Really, just playing for Coach (Sean) Miller. He’s one of the best coaches in the country. He’s turned the program around, we are a top 20 team right now and it’s only his first year back. I’m just really excited to play for, and grow, with him.”
What message do you have for Xavier fans?
