The Dallas Cowboys have already clinched the NFC East and a trip to the playoffs, but Mike McCarthy and the coaching staff has made it clear they want to keep the momentum rolling and are entering Saturday night’s showdown with every intention on winning.

As each hour passes until kickoff, that feat appears to get tougher.

They have already ruled out several key defensive players, and according to Mike Garafolo, starting safety Donovan Wilson has made it to Philly with his team but remains questionable with an illness.

If Wilson can’t go, the Cowboys will be vulnerable on defense, particularly in the secondary.

Dallas Cowboys playing without three stars

Even though Dallas has made it clear they will be playing to win, they will be traveling to Philadelphia without three of their big stars.

Trevon Diggs is one interception away from the Cowboys record. He won’t set it, though, since he was one of three players who’ve been ruled out for Saturday’s game.

Diggs is out with an illness, safety Jayron Kearse is dealing with a hamstring injury and running back Tony Pollard is still dealing with a foot injury. Those are three big losses for the Dallas Cowboys, who aren’t planning on resting starters and laying over.

“I think this is the best thing for us, this is the best thing for our football team,” head coach Mike McCarthy said . “There are slight odds to potentially move up so we want to make sure we take care of business on our end and finish off and make sure we’re playing with momentum.

“I think playing up there in the weather, in Philadelphia, will serve us well.”

Diggs leads the league with 11 interceptions this season, three more than the runner-up. Kearse, meanwhile, is the Dallas Cowboys’ leading tackler with 101 total tackles on the season.

The two have been huge parts of Dallas’ rejuvenated defense under Dan Quinn this season, along with rookie Micah Parsons.
