Oregon State transfer guard Damarco Minor is down to three schools, according to On3’s Joe Tipton. Pitt, Florida State and Virginia Tech are the finalists.

Minor entered the transfer portal April 4 after one year in Corvallis. He previously spent two seasons at SIU Edwardsville, where he led the Cougars in scoring as a sophomore in 2024-25. He averaged 15.5 points per game that season to go with 8.5 rebounds and 3.1 assists on average.

As a freshman in 2023-24, Minor put up strong numbers, as well. He averaged 14.3 points and 5.5 rebounds across 33 starts.

Damarco Minor is a Chicago native and played high school basketball at Harvey (Ill.) Thornton Township before heading to SIUE. He will have one year of eligibility remaining at his next stop.

Oregon State went 20-13 overall this past season, including 10-8 in its first season in the West Coast Conference. Although the Beavers are still members of the Pac-12 in football, they played basketball in the WCC in all other sports except baseball. OSU will be a two-year affiliate member in the West Coast Conference, along with Washington State.

The Beavers’ season didn’t end with a conference tournament loss to Pepperdine, though. They played in the first-ever College Basketball Crown in Las Vegas, falling to UCF – the eventual runner-up – in the first round.

Minor is one of five Oregon State players to enter the transfer portal so far this cycle. The biggest departure is big man Michael Rataj, who committed to Baylor. Rataj is the No. 26-ranked player and No. 8-ranked power forward to hit the portal, according to the On3 Industry Transfer Rankings.

This past season, Rataj played in 32 games and averaged 16.9 points per game. He also added 7.2 rebounds per game, two assists per game, shot 48.4% from the floor and 35.1% from three-point range. A native of Augsburg, Germany, he will have one year of eligibility remaining as he takes his talents to Baylor.
