Five best offensive performers of college football Week 10 ranked by Dan Mullen
Week 10 represented the first action in the month of November for college football, a month where wins and losses matter more and the stakes are raised immediately. And on Saturday, fans got to see some of the nation’s top teams and players rise to the occasion and deliver some of their best performances to date.
There were plenty of impressive performances across the country over the weekend, but former Florida and Mississippi State head coach and current ESPN analyst Dan Mullen ranked his top five performances from Week 10.
Mullen ranked the quarterback and defensive player performances as well from Saturday, but also focused on the top offensive performers from over the weekend which can be seen below.
1. Dillon Johnson, Washington
Washington‘s undefeated season has been highlighted by their high-flying passing attack led by Heisman Trophy hopeful quarterback Michael Penix Jr. But on Saturday against USC, Huskies running back Dillon Johnson stole the show on the ground.
Johnson rushed for a whopping 256 yards and four touchdowns in Washington’s 52-42 win over the Trojans to earn the top spot in Mullen’s rankings. And rightfully so, earning the Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week award and posting the fifth-biggest rushing performance in Washington history.
2. Tre Harris, Ole Miss
Texas A&M could not guard Ole Miss wideout Tre Harris over the weekend as the Rebels blocked a potentially game-tying field goal as time expired to pull out a 38-35 win in Oxford. Harris gave Aggie defensive backs fits all day, ending the game with 11 catches for 213 yards and a touchdown.
Harris joined Ole Miss offseason through the transfer portal, and the Rebels were surely happy to have them on their side on Saturday as he notched career highs in receptions and yards. But it will be interesting to see if he can replicate the performance next week as they face Georgia.
3. Phil Mafah, Clemson
Clemson star running back Will Shipley could not play this weekend after entering concussion protocol the week prior. But backup Phil Mafah stepped up to the plate and absolutely delivered in the Tigers’ upset victory over Notre Dame.

Mafah was Clemson’s workhorse in Week 10, tying a school record with 36 carries on the day. And within those carries, he managed to run all over the Fighting Irish defense with 186 yards on the ground and two touchdowns.
4. Tez Johnson, Oregon
Oregon wide receiver Tez Johnson joined the Ducks through the transfer portal this offseason, uniting with his brother and quarterback Bo Nix. And their brotherly connection paid off more than ever this weekend when the Ducks made easy work of Cal.
Johnson used his speed and quickness to find the end zone twice on Saturday for two touchdowns, also hauling in 11 catches for 180 receiving yards. It was a career day for Johnson and one that him, Nix, and their family will surely cherish for a long time.
5. Xavier Legette, South Carolina
South Carolina‘s Week 10 game against Group of Five opponent Jacksonville State was a lot closer than many anticipated. But the Gamecocks were able to edge out a 38-28 win largely thanks to the impressive play of wideout Xavier Legette.
Legette ended the day with nine catches for 217 yards, also scoring when it mattered most for South Carolina. A five-yard touchdown from Legette with under 30 seconds remaining in the second quarter gave South Carolina the lead heading into halftime, and his 65-yard score later in the game tied things up and sparked a streak of 17 unanswered points for the Gamecocks to secure the win.
