Dan Mullen highlights his top quarterback performers of Week 4
Former Florida head coach and current ESPN analyst Dan Mullen released his top six performers amongst college football’s starting quarterbacks after a wild Week 4.
Leading the way and putting his name on the map is Kansas’s Jalon Daniels. He introduced himself to the nation with his 324 passing yards, 83 rushing yards and five touchdowns over Duke on Saturday. Thanks to Daniels and his teammates, the Jayhawks are 4-0 for the first time since 2009.
Also getting a shoutout from the former Mississippi State head coach is Clemson star DJ Uiagalelei. Over the weekend, Uiagalelei recorded his first career five-touchdown performance in a double-overtime win against Wake Forest.

Tennessee Volunteers signal-caller Hendon Hooker logged the most yardage of any of the six quarterbacks on Mullen’s list of standouts this week. He racked up 349 passing yards and an additional 112 rushing yards in his three-touchdown day versus the Gators.

Also in the Mullen spotlight after Week 4 are Tanner Morgan, Bo Nix and Will Rogers. The three quarterbacks are amongst the nation’s top 12 most accurate this season, each posting completion percentages above 71%. Following Week 4, Rogers is just two yards behind the nation’s overall passing leader Michael Penix. He posted a 409-yard, six-score game versus Bowling Green.
Hooker rises in Heisman odds
Despite some stellar performances, only one of Dan Mullen’s Week 4 favorites is among the top 10 in the odds for the Heisman Trophy.
Ohio State quarterback CJ Stroud, Alabama quarterback Bryce Young and USC quarterback Caleb Williams still lead Vegas’ odds after Week 4. Hooker has played his way into the No. 4 spot with 1,170 passing yards, 10 total touchdowns and no interceptions through four games. He is still well behind the top three with odds of +1600, compared to Stroud’s at +150.
