Skillings, a 6-foot-5 shooting guard out of Philadelphia Roman Catholic, chose the Bearcats over Pittsburgh, NC State, Virginia Tech, and Miami.

Daniel Skillings on why he committed to Cincinnati

“I chose Cincinnati because I felt it was the right fit for me,” Skillings said. “I felt the coaching staff’s love and support. Coach Wes (Miller) was really supportive and was really passionate about getting me. The campus was beautiful. The timing was great. The teammates are amazing. Cincinnati Bearcats’ fanbase is absolutely insane. I loved every second of it and I could see myself playing there. I went with my gut, and I’m ready to put on a show. They also have a great program, and their athletic director is dope. Their academics are taken very seriously. So I can think of life beyond basketball because I’m going to stop dribbling one day. Everything fit me well, and my family was in agreement.”
