Nebraska RB Dante Dowdell planning to enter the Transfer Portal

On3 has been told that Nebraska sophomore running back Dante Dowdell has taken the steps towards entering the Transfer Portal, per a source close to the situation.

This past fall Dowdell was the Huskers leading rusher as a sophomore carrying 143 times for 614 yards and 12 touchdowns.

Coming out of high school Dowdell was the On3 Industry’s No. 8 running back and No. 139 prospect overall.

Dowdell signed with Oregon out of Picayune (Miss.) Memorial High.

Dowdell helped Matt Rhule and the Huskers become bowl eligible for the first time in seven seasons. They do return sophomore running back Emmett Johnson who added 523 yards rushing on 102 carries and scored a touchdowns.
