Davey O'Brien Award announces 2024 preseason watchlist
The 2024 Davey O’Brien watchlist was revealed ahead of the upcoming college football season. This is a can’t miss list of quarterbacks.
Last year’s winner Jayden Daniels was selected with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. This fall, college football will see a new winner.

The official watchlist will be revealed on Tuesday, October 22, the midseason point. The semifinalists will be revealed on Tuesday, November 12 and the three finalists will be announced two weeks later.

The Davey O’Brien National Quarterback Award is presented annually to the nation’s best college quarterback and is the oldest and most prestigious national quarterback award. The winner will be announced Thursday, December 12.
The 48th Annual Davey O’Brien Awards Dinner honoring the winner will be held Monday, Feb. 17, 2025, at The Fort Worth Club in Fort Worth, Texas.
