After an exciting Week 5, college football analyst David Pollack released his list of the top five “dudes” based on players who shined. Georgia tight end Brock Bowers led off the list after a massive fourth quarter against Auburn.

Bowers helped the Bulldogs escape with a 27-20 victory on the road and improve their school record winning streak to 22 games. He was joined by two more SEC players in Kentucky running back Ray Davis and Ole Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart on Pollack’s list.

Rounding out the rankings were a pair of players from Group of Five schools. You can view Pollack’s full list of Week 5 “dudes” below.

1. TE Brock Bowers, Georgia

The Bulldogs allowed Auburn to hang on for far too long in an eventual 27-20 win, using a big performance from Bowers to pull away late. The junior hauled in the go-ahead touchdown on a 40-yard connection with Carson Beck, dodging a pair of defenders to give Georgia the lead for good with 2:52 remaining.

Bowers finished the game with eight catches for 157 yards and a touchdown, including four catches for 121 yards in the fourth quarter alone. He set the Georgia single-season record for receiving yards from a tight end each of the past two seasons, and with 413 yards and three TDs through five games, could stand to break it again.

2. RB Ray Davis, Kentucky

Davis could’ve just as easily been Pollack’s top “dude” after his performance in Week 5 against Florida. The senior was unstoppable in a 33-14 victory, rushing for a career-high 280 yards and three touchdowns.

It was just the second 100-yard performance this season for Davis, who leads the SEC with 594 yards and eight touchdowns. He’s been a part of a 5-0 start for Kentucky, which recently rose up to No. 20 in the AP poll following its win against the Gators. The Wildcats face a massive test this weekend, though, against Bowers and No. 1 Georgia on the road.

3. QB Jaxson Dart, Ole Miss

Dart scored touchdowns on the final two offensive drives for Ole Miss in a 55-49 win against LSU on Saturday. After running one in to cut the deficit to 49-47, Dart found Tre Harris for a 13-yard touchdown with 39 seconds, allowing the defense to come up with a stop and win the game.

The Dukes are off to a 5-0 start to the season after handing South Alabama a 31-23 loss on Saturday. Green was active in that game, coming away with an interception he returned 24 yards for a touchdown.

Although that was his biggest contribution, it was his only one. He also finished with four tackles (3.5 for loss) and 2.5 sacks. That brought his season total to 6.5 sacks, which ranks second in the FBS.

5. QB Jaylen Raynor, Arkansas State

A true freshman, Raynor tied the Arkansas State record with six touchdown passes in a 52-28 win against Massachusetts on Saturday. He finished the contest 20-of-25 passing for 383 yards and also rushed for 35 more.

Raynor wasn’t highly recruited coming out of high school, but he’s been impressive so far this season to throw for 694 yards, 10 touchdowns and one interception despite only having started the past two games. The Red Wolves won both of those contests, and Raynor will aim to keep it up heading into Week 6.
