Davion Hannah, one of the top combo guards in the 2025 class, is down to four schools, a source told On3. Moving forward, the 6-foot-5 senior out of Link Academy (MO) will consider Alabama, Cincinnati, Missouri, and Ohio State.

Hannah, a Wisconsin native, has visited each of his finalists officially. He plans to make a decision during the early signing period (Nov. 13-20).

He previously considered schools like NC State, Pitt, Xavier, Michigan State, Louisville, and Wisconsin.

According to the On3 Industry Rankings, Hannah is a four-star prospect and the No. 32 overall prospect in the 2025 cycle. He’s also the No. 2 combo guard prospect. The On3 Industry Ranking is a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Hannah Scouting Report

“The thing with Davion Hannah is his explosive burst. Hannah is at his best when he is able to get downhill toward the basket. He gets above the rim in transition and plays in straight lines. While he is a threat as a pull up shooter, he will need to develop his shooting consistency from range. He is comfortable with the ball in his hands in the half court, but would like to see him clean up his reads. The athleticism leads to intrigue on the defensive end, he is a twitchy athlete and he competes. He has good size and nice length, projectable frame. Would like to see him become a more efficient player, but he has a lot of tools and his competitive nature helps leads to production.” – On3’s Jamie Shaw

What he’s looking for in a school

In a previous interview with On3, Davion Hannah shared what he’s looking for in a college program.

“I’m looking for a school and a coach that is truthful with me. Someone who tells me what I need to hear and not just what I want to hear. I’ll look at the people around the program, I don’t want to be around negative energy, that type of energy doesn’t fit well around me. All that, and most importantly, I want to win.”

Notes on Hannah from the NBPA Top-100 Camp

Hannah was named as one of the standouts of the prestigious NBPA Top-100 Camp in Orlando earlier this summer, according to On3’s Jamie Shaw:

“Davion Hannah had a productive week. He showed multiple pieces to his game with the ability to get into the paint off the bounce and knock down pull-up jump shots in the half-court. He has defensive upside with his length and twitchy athleticism, and he showed a competitive fire here that was clear.”
