Jackson State coach Deion Sanders looking for another National Signing Day shocker
When Jackson State head coach Deion Sanders flipped No. 1 overall recruit Travis Hunter from Florida State to HBCU Jackson State during last year’s Early Signing Period, it was undoubtedly the biggest recruiting surprise in the past few decades — at least.
And Coach Prime is looking for a repeat performance this year. On Wednesday he tweeted as much.
“I have a funny feeling it’s some 4&5-stars looking for the right feeling, the right spot with the right coach! “I AM HE” & I ain’t hard to find. #CoachPrime,” Sanders wrote on Twitter.

In addition to Hunter, the Tigers signed four-star St. Louis (Mo.) wide receiver Kevin Coleman, who chose Sanders and Co. over Miami, Oregon, USC and a number of other top FBS programs.
Coleman and Hunter, along with Deion’s son, Shedeur, have led the Tigers to an 11-0 record this season. They’ll play in the SWAC Championship on Dec. 3 before they head to a berth in the Celebration Bowl on Dec. 17.
